http://rob-johnson.blogspot.com/2015/07/skills-video-presenting.html
Mountaineering Instructor (MIC) and International Mountain Leader. Thursday, July 16, 2015. I have been out with online retailer Simply Hike today doing some filming here in Snowdonia. They have booked me for two days to present a series of very short films for social media, covering a wide range of hill walking, scrambling and wild camping skills and tips. I won't say where we have been and what we have been doing as I don't want to spoil the films! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

http://rob-johnson.blogspot.com/2015/06/cragging-in-pass_29.html
Mountaineering Instructor (MIC) and International Mountain Leader. Monday, June 29, 2015. Cragging in the Pass. I have been joined for the day by John and Rob who are on my trainee instructor mentor scheme and are working towards their MIA. We spent the day looking at teaching climbing in a multi pitch context and climbed Flying Buttress on Dinas Cromlech in series and included some simple problem avoidance and a stacked abseil descent for good measure. Another lovely day. Subscribe to our mailing list.

8230;but no idea. Advanced Navigation Course, 5/10/2013. Map-making had never been a precise art on the Discworld. People tended to start off with good intentions and then get so carried away with the spouting whales, monsters, waves and other twiddly bits of cartographic furniture that the often forgot to put the boring mountains and rivers in at all. Terry Pratchett, Moving Pictures. Was running a new one-day Advanced Navigation course. After meeting at the Pinnacle, we parked close to the Pen Y Gyrwyd...

8230;but no idea. Just a few photos from a day out in the eastern Beacons two weeks ago. Black Mountains – 19-01-2015. Having just replaced my long-suffering boots with a new pair, the weather forecast gave an ideal opportunity to bed them in. The amount of ice on the driveway and local roads meant that somewhere near was athe best option, so I headed south to the Black Mountains at the eastern end of the Brecon Beacons NP. I’d seen figures on the skyline earlier, and now could see they were all ca...

http://rob-johnson.blogspot.com/2015/05/wow-skiing-in-scotland-in-may.html
Mountaineering Instructor (MIC) and International Mountain Leader. Saturday, May 16, 2015. Wow - Skiing in Scotland in May! I am working on Skye this week coming, on our annual Skye scrambling course. Havering checked the forecast and seen pictures of people skiing this week I decided it was worth chucking the skis in the back and leaving a day or so early. I'm glad I did! The rain was hammering the window this morning but the thermometer was low so I had faith it would be falling as snow up high. Groove...
