The Sun has Both Eyes Open: November 14, 2010
http://thesunhasbotheyesopen.blogspot.com/2010_11_14_archive.html
The Sun has Both Eyes Open. Our son Carter is a very early riser. 5:15- 5:30. So we started telling him he had to stay in his bed until the sun comes up. This, as you can probably imagine, turned into him sneaking down into our bedroom and whispering mom and dad the sun has both eyes open now. We Love it and can't resist getting up with him. Thursday, November 18, 2010. Carl the mean one. That we had some mixed feelings about finding out gender this time around. And the answer is. It's a.

http://lifeinprogress4.blogspot.com/2013/12/december-9.html
December 9, 2013. I'm all for the convenience and paper-less-ness of on-line recipes, but lately I've been missing good, old-fashioned, hand-written recipes. Fur Lined Toilet Seats: Rest
http://furlinedtoiletseats.blogspot.com/2012/10/rest.html
Monday, October 8, 2012. So very hard to slow down, I found myself parked on the comfy chair with some embroidery last Saturday. Allergies kicking, I was too dizzy for my usual busy bee routine. So, I sat. I sipped hot tea. I finally finished the embroidered pillowcases I started a year and a half ago. It's hard to rest when you are the momma. The laundry doesn't stop, and the bathrooms don't clean themselves. Folks just have to eat. Today, I rested again. Just in a different way. I rocked and watched th...

Fur Lined Toilet Seats: Day of Beauty
http://furlinedtoiletseats.blogspot.com/2012/10/day-of-beauty.html
Monday, October 15, 2012. Some days, the amazing gifts of an awesome God just overwhelm. Majestic oak, wearing fall leaves. Wonder in little eyes. Tiny flowers nearly hidden. Warm light and shadows. Sunshine, breaking through clouds lighting the way. Rainbows, would you believe there were nine different ones to brighten our way home. Down a winding country road dressed for the season. And a sunset reflecting on clouds. A day of joy, gifts of beauty counted in photos. October 15, 2012 at 10:34 AM. Greater...

Fur Lined Toilet Seats: October 2011
http://furlinedtoiletseats.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 18, 2011. I need a sub. Can I call in today? The cold I tried my best to ignore by hoping it was just allergies, is hitting me hard today. I feel rotten. I have a bad cough. My nose is runny. And the worst of it, I can hardly speak. You mommas know how hard it is to keep up with 4 kids and a puppy when you can’t speak? I just want a cup of tea and a warm blanket. And maybe some chocolate. I suppose we could call it off for the day. It wouldn’t be the end of the world. Links to this post.

Fur Lined Toilet Seats: An Unexpected Lesson
http://furlinedtoiletseats.blogspot.com/2012/09/an-unexpected-lesson.html
Wednesday, September 12, 2012. Some of our best homeschool lessons are the ones unplanned. The ones we find along the way, sparking interest. Today was to be a lesson about trees. I had a plan. But on our way to watch the workers who are fixing the road that runs near our house, the kids found something amazing! Have you guessed yet? A lovely little momma, don't you think? She's a wolf spider? This is such a cool thing to see! Counting our homeschool blessings. September 14, 2012 at 8:26 PM. Happy housew...

Life in Progress: December 3
http://lifeinprogress4.blogspot.com/2013/12/december-3.html
December 3, 2013. Our day began with an Advent gift meant for giving - some cards to send and ornaments to make and share. The girls made ornaments between bites of breakfast and took them to school to surprise their teachers. Our day ended with this sight.which just never, ever gets old. Fur Lined Toilet Seats: Homeschool Art
http://furlinedtoiletseats.blogspot.com/2012/09/homeschool-art.html
Tuesday, September 25, 2012. There is classical music playing in our basement, today. Paint, spilled out onto old container lids, being daubed with Q-tips onto an elaborate coloring sheet (found via Pinterest). The artist, would he feel honored by our study of his work? This, is homeschooling. September 25, 2012 at 2:22 PM. This is homeschooling at its best! September 26, 2012 at 12:54 AM. We did an entire unit on Michelangelo and Picasso. They LOVED It!
