Otomen: girly guys | Welcome to Tokyo Meet Market
https://tokyocherie.wordpress.com/2010/01/29/otomen-girly-guys
Welcome to Tokyo Meet Market. Who’s this girl? How to enter TMM. The least romantic way to say I love you is in Japanese! How manly are you in your love life? On: January 29, 2010. I’m proud to be the first on the internet to introduce the emerging trend of new type of guys, the girly guys. Otomen (オトメン/乙男) is a pun made of the Japanese word otome (乙女), meaning “young lady” or “mistress”, and the English word “men”. Like the Soshokukei Danshi. 5 Responses to "Otomen: girly guys". So that’s good....

Japanese Ties: February 2010
http://japaneseties.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
A brief tale of my travels through Japan (in particular Sapporo, my second home). I started travelling to Japan in 2003, and have made 9 trips since then. I've been married (to T-chan), bought my first house, and had one child (our son, L-kun) and now a second one (our daughter, C-chan). I'm writing this in 2012. So it's sort of like going back in a time machine. Eventually I will get back to current day! Monday, February 1, 2010. Japanese Ties. What is it that keeps me coming back? Originally I was goin...

Now I'm In _________: July 2010
http://dontstoptiligetenough.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, July 6, 2010. I always get more followers whenever I post tourist-friendly or Japan-centric stuff like ANIME or AMEYOKO. That is fine. You know when I liked this blog, though, is when it was all about my big yellow sweater. And some music videos. And I can only just hope to subconsciously try to stay gold in this new life I lead. PEOPLE ARE S T R A N G E. When you're a STRANGER. WHEN YOU'RE UN WANT. STREEEETS ARE UNNNEVENNN WHEN YOU'RE DOWN. Faces come out of the rain. No one remembers your name.

Children's Toys for One Coin! If you know any children with birthdays coming up and you're on a budget you should definitely check out the one-coin shops where you can get awesome toys for like a buck fifty each! This was between little stuffed animals and generic Nerf guns. Your little girl can display it on her waist or bag!

Friday, March 2, 2012. Reverse Culture Shock: When does it end? And you'd fuckin hope so, right? Good lord, my friends, it is March of 2012. It's almost the anniversary of the earthquake! I got on that plane nine. Months ago. Tokyo is long behind me. I have a new city and new friends and new jobs. I don't even look the same. I've moved on. So what's weird about it? But that sense of cosmic benevolence doesn't shine as bright when strangers shriek IDIOT. I mean, one night I sat in pee on the train. So her...

Monday, February 20, 2012. My Favorite Japan Blogs Part 1. My Google stats warm my heart. I'm glad people are still coming here. I don't live in Japan anymore but I'm still mad connected to Tokyo and the people I know there, and I'll still write here when the occasion calls for it. But if you dig this blog, let me suggest some current jams you'll probably like! Vivian at Lost In Translation. Let me add that if I'm perhaps a little prone to sulk in gutters or wake up drunk with a tobacco-soaked rat's nest...
