Tuesday, August 21, 2012. A Day for Capri. I think it was the air of excitement in the boat. Once you are inside the Grotto, the water is a beautiful aquamarine color and seems almost lit from below with floodlights. It was so much fun our boat driver broke into "O Solo Mia" after which we hinted if we liked it we could give him a tip. . To see the really beautiful part of Capri, you must take a funnicular up to the town. The view from the top was spectacular. . Even the local cats looked quite content.

Monday, August 3, 2015. The V&D department store is known for its panoramic view from the cafe on the top floor. We decided to check it out and discovered a market style cafe with farm fresh salads, fruits, and appealing fruit juices in glass containers with fresh fruit inside. Thursday, August 6, 2015. Hamburg: A Vibrant Port City. Can one find beauty in a view of an industrial port city harbor? Today I found out the answer and it wasn't quite what I expected. Was outside overlooking the canals between the old mill buildings where we are staying. Flat bottom canal boats filled with tourists glided by and it looked like a pleasant way to spend the morning. I was in the grocery store and this guy flipped himself out of the tank onto the floor next to me. I alerted a worker who promptly scooped him up and put him back in the tank.
