Wednesday afternoon comp. Go Torquay! Overlooking the beautiful Zeally Bay in the heart of Torquay, the bowls club is one of the most scenic spots in Australia. It is nestled in amongst the trees of Taylor Park, which provide shelter from most of the prevailing winds. Since joining the club I have decided that bowls is not just for old people!

I've even been known to have the occasional drink with my meal. I haven't been to every restaurant in Torquay so I apologise to any one who doesn't crack a mention. Torquay to Geelong

With a population of around 180,000 people, Geelong is the second largest city in Victoria. The drive from Torquay is quick and easy along a divided highway and takes about twenty minutes. You can also get the bus from Pearl St or on the Surf Coast Highway into central Geelong. If you have time while you are visiting the Surf Coast it is worth checking out what shows are coming up at the Geelong Performing Arts Centre.The centre has two major theatres and a number of smaller performance spaces.
