Avebury is situated in North Wiltshire, about 90 miles west of London. Just off the A4 road, it is midway between the towns of Calne and Marlborough. Stonehenge lies about 20 miles to the south. The only free parking is for patrons of the Red Lion pub in the centre of Avebury, where space is extremely limited. For disabled drivers there are a few spaces in a small car park on Avebury High Street, that may only be used by those displaying residents permits or blue disability badges.
