Exploring Blogging: Twitter

http://www.exploringblogging-emily.blogspot.com/2011/10/twitter.html

This is going to be my attempt at figuring out blogging :). Monday, October 10, 2011. I had no idea that Twitter could be used effectively in the classroom, but now that I am reading about it I see a number of different ways where it could be helpful to have and to use. One idea I had about using Twitter came from the article 28 Creative Ways Teachers are Using Twitter. Another good idea came from the Educational Twitter Chats Calendar. October 12, 2011 6:18 AM. Exploring Blogging: Fakebook

http://www.exploringblogging-emily.blogspot.com/2011/10/fakebook.html

This is going to be my attempt at figuring out blogging :). Saturday, October 15, 2011. One cool tool which popped up on my twitter was to create a Fakebook. Page for historical figures where students can add pics, timelines, and info about a person without acutally being attached to Facebook. The kids will love the format and can add friends, comments, videos, and pictures. Also, you can save it to look at it later or link it to a blog. October 19, 2011 6:34 AM. Monday, January 21, 2013. Thing 4: Photo Sharing, Editing and Fun. On my Ipad I tried working with Aviary. But didn't have the results that I wanted. (I wanted to be able to do slideshows such as the ones you can do on Windows). I am still playing with it as an App, but I like Muzy much better. For my library students I am currently assembling photos for our "Get caught Reading" photo showcase. Here are some of our photos I "pinned" on a corkboard using Muzy. Links to this post. Friday, October 14, 2011. My Re-Introduction to the World of Twitter. When I first began to use Twitter, it was to "keep up" with organizations that were of interest to me. I seldom used it and did not know the many ways in which Twitter could be used educationally. Clearly there is more to Twitter than meets the eye.
