http://exploringillustration.blogspot.com/2011/06/not-wanting-to-waste-any-more-time-i.html
Draw, draw, DRAW! Friday, 10 June 2011. Not wanting to waste any more time, I also went to Flickr and found this lady. (There was an interesting story attached.) Her face was actually wider, her head at more of an angle and her expression more 'knowing' but I've run out of time. Medium Derwent Onyx on A6 copy paper.). 11 June 2011 at 09:22. Great drawing, Sharon, very expressive. It really catches the spirit of the exercise. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Draw a scene from a favourite book.

Draw, draw, DRAW! Tuesday, 13 September 2011. Let's see where this goes. This is a 'sketch' done in oil thoroughly diluted with Zest-it Clear Painting Medium [only harmful if you try to drink it! I had applied dilute red and orange to the ground many weeks ago but didn't have any ideas for it at the time so put it to one side. 3 May 2012 at 16:38. Looks great. I have found that understanding of drawing is the foundation for any good oil painting. Looks like you have it! 22 August 2012 at 13:51.
Exploring Illustration: September 2010
http://exploringillustration.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Draw, draw, DRAW! Wednesday, 29 September 2010. Next exercise is simply "draw a tree". I usually draw trees quite abstractly, focusing on the trunk and big branches and just roughly describing the foliage, but this time I tried to draw all the leaves and small twigs. Monday, 20 September 2010. New weekly challenges: Draw water surfaces. This weekend I looked at the first exercise: Draw water surface: reflection, depths, and movement. I live very near the river, so I went down there and studied reflection...
