This seemed like a good idea at the time, but the "Cone of Shame". Clearly is not going to be the master of Jack. On the south side of the Keweenaw Peninsula. It's a completely different beach experience than Jack's usual jaunts on the opposite side of the peninsula at Eagle River. Jack's different reactions to the sloping plates of rock instead of the sandy beach got me thinking about the next Adventures in the U.P. Michigan stories for children.

Because that is how life is-full of surprises. A plot is nothing but a normal human situation that keeps arising again and again….normal human emotions—envy, ambition, rivalry, love. Hate, greed, and so on. Plot-driven commercial fiction needs to have large stakes, something that’s a threat to the lead character.
