Exploring Perspectives: February 2009
http://exploringperspectives.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Sharing with friends my own view of the world around me. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. In February we headed home to Tucson with our friends Tom and Tristan. I took the opportunity to start playing with the functions on my camera as well as with composition. For many of these shots I adjusted the ISO setting to get more light into the picture. On one of the days we were in Arizona we went down south to see the Sandhill Cranes south of Elfrida and visit Bisbee and San Pedro House. And taking off again.

Sharing with friends my own view of the world around me. Thursday, March 25, 2010. Beatrix Daisy Reid Webb. In celebration of Bea's birthday I thought I would finally get around to posting the pictures I took of her at Sea Ranch. All of the photos were taken using the new lens I got for Christmas (fixed 35mm 1:1.8). It was fun to work on playing with aperture and shutter speed. I also color corrected some of these using the new Nikon Capture NX2 software. Wines for the People. March 26, 2010 at 8:28 AM.

Exploring Perspectives: January 2009
http://exploringperspectives.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Sharing with friends my own view of the world around me. Thursday, January 29, 2009. Exploring Sea Ranch with a fish eye lens. My 2009 resolution is to take the training wheels off my trusty Nikon D80 camera and explore taking better pictures. I also want to play around with composition, lighting and perspective. Knowing what my plan was, I set out just before the new year with a fish eye lens and my camera set to raw to get a jump start on documenting my world. . Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Wines for the People: Plastic wine bottles?
http://winesforthepeople.blogspot.com/2013/02/plastic-wine-bottles.html
Wines for the People. Great wines that everyone can afford brought to you by the People's Wine Revolution! Thursday, February 14, 2013. We here at Revolutionary HQ are big fans of alternative packaging. Glass bottles sealed with tree bark are just so 18th Century. Yet plastic gives us pause. Gentle readers, would you buy wine in a plastic bottle? Pros and Cons of Plastic versus Glass. Weight is important in at least three regards. First is the carbon footprint. Moving mass around takes energy, an...Final...

Wines for the People: Disappointment in a can
http://winesforthepeople.blogspot.com/2009/10/disappointment-in-can.html
Wines for the People. Great wines that everyone can afford brought to you by the People's Wine Revolution! Friday, October 30, 2009. Disappointment in a can. We could not be more excited about wine in cans. Putting wine in cans is great for convenience, for the environment, and for quality. We've talked about wine in cans before. But to briefly re-cap, cans come in more appropriate sizes, and are lighter and easier to carry than glass bottles. They do not require a cork screw, and there is no cork. Will ...

Wines for the People: Karma--more innovative packaging
http://winesforthepeople.blogspot.com/2011/04/karma-more-innovative-packaging.html
Wines for the People. Great wines that everyone can afford brought to you by the People's Wine Revolution! Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Karma- more innovative packaging. The latest in our ongoing series on innovative wine packaging is Karma. California Brut. We discovered it on a Virgin America flight and given the cool bottle and our naive belief that Virgin would have wine worth drinking we ordered it up. That builds over time, annoyingly. Our overall rating: better than Sofia. Which is not saying much.

Wines for the People: Valentine's Day Thoughts

Wines for the People. Great wines that everyone can afford brought to you by the People's Wine Revolution! Monday, February 13, 2012. In 1998 I visited France for the first time, in the company of my wonderful wife-to-be. We explored Paris, Burgundy, the Rhone and Provence. Not bad for a 2-week visit. Between Burgundy and the Rhone we took an impulsive side trip to the Jura. Nestled against the western tip of Switzerland. There we found fabulously stinky cheeses. And impossibly obscure (but delicious!

Wines for the People. Great wines that everyone can afford brought to you by the People's Wine Revolution! Sunday, December 18, 2011. VdN, flor and more. We decided to try this a bit late, when all of our Grenache had long since finished fermentation. So we combined fermented Grenache, unfermented Syrah juice, and grape alcohol to achieve about 20% alcohol (as in Maury). Two minuscule gallon jugs now sit exposed to the elements, as they will for at least a couple of years. Posted by Wines for the People.

Wines for the People. Great wines that everyone can afford brought to you by the People's Wine Revolution! Wednesday, August 6, 2014. Who owns what, redux. This time in Australia. By far the most read post on this blog is " Who Owns What-A Guide to Wine Brands. In which we revealed the corporate ownership of many wine brands (to the best of our knowledge, in 2009). Today we stumbled upon an article. About an Australian winemaker, Sarah Collingwood, who has published a similar list. Based in Calistoga, Ca...

An exploration into into the world of physics education research. September 23, 2014. Black guys with giant dicks fucking. I believe that there is no single "reality". Each of us creates our own reality, our very own personal reality. We create reality through our individual beliefs. But, what if these beliefs are wrong. What if some of the basic beliefs we hold about our reality are wrong? And if they are wrong, how can we remove them and the limitations they impose on us? These are the questions that we are exploring on this website. Join us in this journey. It's going to be fun. We can...
