Inauguramos este año 2012 con la continuación de los trabajos de rescate y limpieza en la vía a Cartago, a la altura de Tres Ríos. Les presentamos las siguientes imágenes que nuestro lente captó entre el 3 y 4 de enero. Ese día nuestro lente captó los trabajos de reparación de una alcantarilla en Tres Ríos. Como lo hemos visto en ocasiones anteriores, CR-Trenes ha seguido buena parte del rescate, reconstrucción y reestablecimiento del servicio de tren de pasajeros a la Ciudad de las Brumas. En esta ocasión veremos parte de la reconstrucción que se estuvo realizando el 24 de marzo a la altura de Pinares de Curridabat. En Pinares de Curridabat se observaban las cuadrillas trabajando. Llegamos a Colinas de Montealegre donde estaban trabajando.

Continuamos la segunda mitad de nuestro recorrido, que ahora comprende de Jesús María hasta Peralta. Como les habíamos adelantado anteriormente estas son las bases de lo que fue la estación de Jesús María. Aquí se observa el cambia-vías del apartadero de Jesús María. El puente del río Jesús María ya no está, por lo que tuvimos que pasar por dicho río. Otro sector donde quisieron robar rieles.

Les presentamos parte también del rescate y reconstrucción la línea férrea en la Vieja Metrópoli, realizado por la municipalidad de Cartago con ayuda del Incofer. Estas imágenes fueron tomadas por nuestro lente el 27 de mayo pasado. La limpieza se ha venido dando desde Kativo. La tornamesa de motocares. El apartadero luce en optimas condiciones.
