Jason Morales BI Update. Microsoft PerformancePoint Team Blog. November 14, 2008 — Kristen Hodges. At a meeting yesterday I was asked the question, “who builds PerformancePoint? SQL Server administrators right? This made me realise that there is a lack of clear understanding about PerformancePoint, what it does and how it does it. Jason Morales BI Update. Microsoft PerformancePoint Team Blog. PerformancePoint Scorecard Comments on a Reporting Services Report. February 19, 2009 — benkuppe. A common requirement I see at various sites is the ability to add comments to a SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) report. Often a report summarises the performance of a particular part of a business (e.g. sales performance) and users would like to be able to comment on the results and see these comments appear as part of the report. Jason Morales BI Update. Microsoft PerformancePoint Team Blog. SQL 2008 Service Pack 1 is a must have! April 24, 2009 — Kristen Hodges. Some time ago I installed SQL 2008 on a VPC which was also running MOSS and PerformancePoint. Soon enough the VPC started to run out of memory. I tore my hair out for a few days because nothing I did made a good dent in the problem. Till I found the silver bullet. Install SP1. That’s it. Interestingly, of the many bug fixes included, in SP1 (you can see the full list here.

Jason Morales BI Update. Microsoft PerformancePoint Team Blog. PPS-P: Where, oh where, does my data go? December 18, 2008 — Kristen Hodges. A user enters a value into a PerformancePoint Planning form… so what happens next? Where does it go? When will it be available to other users or does everyone see it immediately? When will my calculations such as growth rate and seeding be done? And why are we the least bit interested? Firstly, to answer the why do we care question, consider a few simple (ish! The da...
