Keeping up with the Mumfords. Monday, September 21, 2009. Tom arrived home a few minutes ago after a very difficult root canal. He was clutching a card on which was written: P=J*B,. He dictated the following bizarre stream-of-consciousness account of his morning, insisting that I type it verbatim and refusing to do anything else until I had done so. I’ve now put him to bed. The dental assistant said she had never seen anyone so affected by laughing gas. After a second it didn’t really seem to matter.

Keeping up with the Mumfords. Sunday, June 26, 2011. Spray Foam Buffalo Chips. It took four years, but I finally broke down and made the buffalo chips. All that stood between me and these rustic plains masterpieces was my pride. Sorry, I do realize that the drop cloth and the plate give the picture a disturbing culinary connotation. But I want the kids to throw them like frisbees. Cub Scout Twilight Camp yet again. My 7th. And now that I've made the buffalo chips, I think it can be my last.
