Looks like I might actually have some Interesting stuff to do ahead of me. Two bits of training, and one of my schools being the pilot school for the first of our new virtual server builds. The training is on two separate things:. The next bit of training we're looking at is the FITS framework. And to ensure that everyone within the organisation is singing f...

I've been playing with SSH tunnelling for a little while for things like forwarding RDP sessions into my home network, and encrypting web traffic. I've usually done this either by using the tunnelling options within Putty. In some comments on a Hak5 show that had covered a similar topic. But these settings sh...

Http:/ blog.mongoosesystems.co.uk/. Mutterings of an evil genius in training. Posted by : Rob Stevens. Sunday, November 01, 2009 Published in MCSA. It's amazing how work tends to eat up time. All my good intentions for putting more into this blog seem to have come to naught for now. At least I'm starting to get into the swing of the day to day stuff for the job meaning that it's no longer one big constant frantic rush to keep on top of things. As SBS is one of the main platforms that I work with a the mo...

CCIE Wireless Pursuit….Lab! Find a job you like and you add five days to every week. Lab Equipment – Software. AP Join Process – Master Controller vs DHCP,DNS. May 16, 2010. DHCP and DNS point to 2106 which is not configured as the Master Controller. 4402 is configured as Master Controller and lives on a different network than the AP. The AP has been erased by the controller and reset to factory defaults. The AP surprised me again as it did not join the WLC configured as the Master and joined the 2106.

CCIE Wireless Pursuit….Lab! Find a job you like and you add five days to every week. Lab Equipment – Software. AP Join Process – Master Controller Mode vs Primary Controller. Okay, so you have seen the “master controller” check box. Apparently it does not apply to AP’s that have previously joined a controller and have a Primary Controller configured. CCIE Wireless Pursuit….Lab! Find a job you like and you add five days to every week. Lab Equipment – Software. Ok, just when I think I have a good handle on the AP discovery process the little ap starts acting like a child and doesn’t listen. Cisco-lwapp-controller pointing to my 2106 @ 192.168.127.200. Dhcp option 43 pointing to 192.168.127.200. Ap gets an address of 192.168.127.232. It would be reasonable to assume that the ap would join 192.168.127.200 right? You would be wrong.
