As most of you know, Hurricane Sandy was to hit Exuma from the north west at approximately 2 pm today with winds in excess of 105 sustained and up to 140 mph gusts. Power was shut down as of ten o’clock this morning. Jo-Anne Haycock jus reported this evening that she spoke with Denyne Brown on the island and they were okay. The airport was flooded, but that is the only news I’ve heard to this point. October 13, 2012.
