eyebeleave: Book review: I am so much in God’s hands
http://eyebeleave.blogspot.com/2014/01/book-review-i-am-so-much-in-gods-hands.html
Thursday, 30 January 2014. Book review: I am so much in God’s hands. A first (and hopefully last) in a series of book reviews of books I haven’t and will not read, today’s post looks at the upcoming publication of Blessed Pope John Paul II’s personal notes from 1962-2003. A book I would love to read, but won’t. Wouldn’t I take great pleasure in reading new words penned by him? Wouldn’t they be edifying, thought provoking and intellectually satisfying? I am certain they would do all that and possibly more.

http://eyebeleave.blogspot.com/2013/09/pope-francis-letter-to-non-believers.html
Wednesday, 11 September 2013. Pope Francis’ letter to non-believers. That Pope Francis cares deeply for non-believers. Is nothing new, with his previous declaration that Jesus has redeemed. Atheists too having lead both to very positive responses and to a great media muddle. In today’s issue of the Italian newspaper La Repubblica, Francis continues in this dialogue with non-believers by responding to questions sent to him by the atheist journalist Eugenio Scalfari. From which he proceeds to quote:. 8220;...

Tuesday, 3 January 2017. Scandal: stumbling blocks to steppingstones. 823 words, 4 min read. The term scandal has its origins in the Hebrew Bible, where in Leviticus 19:14. Reading Rabbi Shlomo Itzhaki’s commentary. From the 11th century, it can be seen. That blindness here is to be read figuratively, and in any case, the Bible is already full of proscriptions about harming others, whether they are blind or not:. Where "to cause a fall" is again skandalon. Between Christians and of exploiting. So I too n...
