Jon Davison 2014. Top image: Self portait of Jon in an R44 Raven II helicopter. Jon is a highly experienced illustrative colour 'location' photographer, specialising in air-to-air portraits. To me, aircraft are the most beautiful machines that man has created, couple this with the environment in which they operate, makes air-to-air photography one of the most spellbinding and rewarding work places'. AERIAL - Air to ground. Here is a collection of images of the earth from above, taken either as past of a commission, or following an A2A shoot. The shoot is usually in the early morning or late afternoon, hence the predominately warm tones. All of these were taken from either an R44, or AS350 helicopter, with the doors off or slid back.
