Djembes and humans have a lot in common, like uh. Hailing originally from Africa and having since spread throughout the world is a characteristic of both the djembe and human beings. And, that's all i got. And of course, humans have heads and djembe drums have drumheads. In light of these quite curious similarities. Nearly stunningly, amazingly, interesting similarities perhaps. February 20, 2013. Caught this photo in the city of Mérida, Mexico. Its located inland in the Yucatan peninsula, close to the western side of the tail. The crazy is, i almost missed it. When we went to mexico, we had no intention of traveling around the peninsula, thinking we would attempt to fly semi-illegally to cuba. Valladolid, Chichen Itza, Mérida, Uxmal, Ticul, Ticum, Bacalar, Chetumal. On the map when you connect all those cities and towns starting and ending in Tulum, it looks like a shark tooth.
