Friday, May 30, 2008. My find of the day is Filesanywhere.com. I've been looking for a place to park my genealogy documents that would be accessible from the Blog while we're in the UK. I wanted one that would allow me to not only retrieve my documents, but also allow me to view them without using a magnifying glass. Filesanywhere.com. Thursday, May 29, 2008. The Happy Wanderers: Day 77 - Heber City to Provo, Utah
http://writeguy47.blogspot.com/2014/05/day-77-heber-city-to-provo-utah.html
Tuesday, May 20, 2014. Day 77 - Heber City to Provo, Utah. Today, at the suggestion of our younger son, Robert, we decided to visit the old mining town of Park City, Utah. Last night's choice of camps in Heber City came about specifically for its proximity to Park City, it being slightly more than a dozen miles away, but having the potential of our finding much more level ground on which to park the RV then the hillside-hugging town of Park City. Once the museum was located, we next needed to seek out th...

Friday, May 23, 2008. More information on the Rhydderch family. After doing more reasearch, here's what I know about the Rhydderch family:. In 1841, the Thomas Rhydderch family is in the census as "Rudderch." They're living at the Victoria Iron works south of Ebbw Vale, Monmouthshire County. They had lived in Ebbw Vale at least since my ancestor, Elizabeth Jane Rhydderch, was born there in 1836. Labels: More information on the Rhydderch family. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Saturday, May 17, 2014. Day 74 - Gunnison to Grand Junction, Colorado. Last night when we rolled once more into the town of Gunnison, the museum was the very first thing to grab our attention. It was then that we remembered that we had missed it on the previous trip through Colorado. Unfortunately, we did not remember just exactly when the museum opened for the summer. As I type this account, it is May 17th, 2014. In exactly three days the museum will open again for the summer. THREE DAYS! Though not eve...

Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Great Great Great Grandfather, Paul Brown. Unfortuantely, Paul seems to have missed much of the heyday of early Northumberland railroading. By 1823 Paul and his family had moved and were living in Glamorgan County, Wales. Still, I wonder, since he lists his occupation in 1841 as "machine man," if he might have had something to do with the early machining of the new prototype steam engines. Interesting thought! For key dates in the developement of railways in northeast England. The A...

The Happy Wanderers: Day 73 - Pueblo to Gunnison, Colorado
http://writeguy47.blogspot.com/2014/05/day-73-pueblo-to-gunnison-colorado.html
Friday, May 16, 2014. Day 73 - Pueblo to Gunnison, Colorado. When I checked in at the KOA (Kampgrounds of America) office just now the attendant asked me how I was doing. As I usually respond to such questions, I said, "Absolutely wonderful! Realizing that the woman was probably a manager of some sort, I said, "Is it okay if I shoot photos of your camp? At first she didn't answer me, but walked over to where I was standing. "If you'd like to rent," she said, when she was standing next to me. No, I'm not ...
