Realizing His plans are greater than my own. Tuesday, August 6, 2013. I have wanted to go on a mission trip for soooo long. I just want to do it as a family. Our church offers several mission opportunities each year, but the youngest participants are in their teens. This past June, my neighbor (Stacy) went on a mission trip with her church to Mexico. It was a. Mission trip. Kids as young as 6 went! Was her reply. Can I just say my heart flipped over a zillion times! In the meantime, everything here is ab...

With blinds open on a cloudy day.there is a little sun coming in. Ella is so proud of her project :) And, I am proud of her :). Literally a couple of days later, we got a leftover news...

Realizing His plans are greater than my own. Wednesday, July 17, 2013. Hard to believe I am about to enter my 4th year of homeschooling. What a joy it has been. Hard sometimes, yes. But, overall, a complete joy! You like your mommy being your teacher? You can tell me the truth, she's not looking? Oh myI must move on. People who don't feel like sending their kids to school." I can only assume she meant people too lazy to get up in the mornings and get their children up, dressed, fed, ready and off to ...

Realizing His plans are greater than my own. Saturday, April 20, 2013. One of my favorite field trips this year has been to The American Village in Montevallo. Our focus on history for second grade has been American History. This was a great place to see some of that with skits and replicas. The day started with a skit (actually an audience participation rally) concerning no taxation without representation. We were all chanting and it was quite fun to kind of get to see what our forefathers did. There wa...

Realizing His plans are greater than my own. Tuesday, February 11, 2014. An hour and a half later, we drove back to the pound, filled out some paperwork, and played with some kitties and pups. Girls were so happy! We have been a few times but not much lately :/ (need to put that back on the to-do list). I absolutely LOVE old people and I love to give food to others so this is a perfect fit! I just learned yesterday that one of the men on our route died this week. It makes me super sad because you rea...
