Second step, removing the upper cabinets over the peninsula. Steve and I did this all by ourselves with some muscle and a lot of ingenuity. Next, installing recessed (canned) lights. Drawing pictures on the end of the counter before Papa finishes it off. Installing a new cupboard and moving the dishwasher.

Monday, June 8, 2009. My baby's growing up! We finally got around to getting a big girl bed for Emma. She was very excited to try it out! I about cried, both tears of pride for my big girl and tears of sadness for how fast she is growing up! This is a milestone in her life. She only fell out once during her first night. We had to fit enought supplies and gear for 6 days for 12 of us. This is our loaded handcart as our "family" is getting ready to start "trekking". We were Ma and Pa to 5 boys and 4 girls and we had an "Uncle" as part of the family. Our Uncle was a great help to all of us. VERY, VERY, VERY DUSTY!
