I’ve made another set of historical underclothing. Hmm. If you go back and include the fairly-mediaeval bliaut. Flat felling, be hand and machine. I made hand-worked eyelets for the neckline drawstring to pass through. However, not being overly bright, I worked them in the BACK of the neckline. Oops. I’m not really happy with the neckl...The short-stays...

Sometimes a project is just fun to do. Not perfect, by any means, not at all flawless—but man it felt great. I found the finished sizing measurements a bit confusing. The size 10 was listed as having a 36″ bust and 23″ waist. Does this include lacing gap? How much of one? By some miracle the size of underwire I prefer also fitted the cups ...

You've got wonderful bones, great eyes, and you dress really interestingly. February 17, 2015. Trying something a little different and going the microblogging route, since I have so little to bring to the table in terms of sewing technique. I learned that word “microblog” when I decided to Google what the heck Tumblr is. I still don’t know, even though I have a Tumblr account. I finished off the ensemble with some killer Naughty Monkey shoes and my favorite new socks. And beads of course. I love it baby!

After several hours of organizing fabric, patterns, and other notions, and making almost zero progress, I spotted this on the I Love Sewing. Thanks, I Love Sewing, for feeling my pain and helping me feel less alone. That is all. Anyone out there have a similar experience lately? Anyone need a pep talk? I’m feeling peppier by the day.
