Cycle Trek: August 2005
http://cycletrek.blogspot.com/2005_08_01_archive.html
Vigorous. Sustainable. Low-cost. Tuesday, August 30, 2005. I just finished cleaning my bike, using the handy new bike repair stand I bought as soon as I came back from my Newfoundland trip. The stand makes it much easier to clean and adjust the bike; it was $100 well spent. My bike shines once again. Posted by Victor Chudnovsky @ 8/30/2005 10:42:00 PM. Cycle Trek: As the weather turns
http://cycletrek.blogspot.com/2005/10/as-weather-turns.html
Vigorous. Sustainable. Low-cost. Friday, October 21, 2005. As the weather turns. By far the most important factor is the diminishing daylight. It is barely light when I leave the house and it is already dark when I get home. I am in the market for a handlebar extender I can use to mount a headlight- and not just any headlight, but a lead-battery powered headlight that will allow me to see and not just be seen. Cycle Trek: July 2005
http://cycletrek.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Vigorous. Sustainable. Low-cost. Sunday, July 31, 2005. Ahh, I Googled the racks. This. Is what they are supposed to look like. Looks like the bike store screwed it up. They put on the top brazon what should go on the bottom brazon, jury-rigged a support on the bottom of the rack (which now lies above the bottom brazon), and put the horizontal metal strip on top. Oh, and they switched they left and right sides to boot! Here's the instruction sheet. For a rack similar to mine. Saturday, July 30, 2005.

Cycle Trek: Crushed by an SUV
http://cycletrek.blogspot.com/2005/09/crushed-by-suv.html
Vigorous. Sustainable. Low-cost. Thursday, September 08, 2005. Crushed by an SUV. I had just left work and was biking home when I heard the sound of plastic hitting the pavement. With a sinking feeling, I pulled over and checked my derriere. Sure enough, my taillight was missing. And there it was, lying in the middle of the traffic lane on Walnut Street. I walked over, anxious to pick it up before a car ran over it. All of a sudden, an ominous dark SUV. Was I to blame? I had destroyed the taillight!

Cycle Trek: Potholes 2, bike light 0
http://cycletrek.blogspot.com/2005/11/potholes-2-bike-light-0.html
Vigorous. Sustainable. Low-cost. Tuesday, November 01, 2005. Potholes 2, bike light 0. A week or two ago, in preparation for the end of daylight savings time and the inevitable dusk commutes home, I installed a new rear light to replace the one that was crushed by an SUV. Earlier this fall. Today, probably somewhere between Chestnut Hill and Washington Square, the light broke off. The mounting piece is still firmly attached to my light, but the light itself? At 11/02/2005 02:35:00 PM. 3 Both options (1) ...
