A couple weeks ago, I hiked up South Boulder Peak with my friend Lindsay and her dog. We started at South Mesa trailhead and hiked up Shadow Canyon. This is the second time I have climbed up Shadow Canyon this year. I did it once before when hiking to the top of Bear Peak. It was an overcast day, but I tend to enjoy these days in Colorado, as they are few and far between. There were rumors of a black bear sighting in the area, which we never did spot but it made the hike a little more exciting. Labels: deer creek canyon. What do you think? Face to the Sunshine. A photo journal depicting the life of a young woman and her adventures. Monday, March 26, 2012. Button Rock Preserve and Ralph Price Resevoir. The day was ideal for hiking, yet again. It was partly cloudy and borderline hot in the late afternoon. We followed the hiking trail down to Ralph Price Reservoir, where we ate lunch. The dogs were happy to have a place to cool down, and Moe was quite insistent on several opportunities to wade in the water. Friday, March 23, 2012.
