wheeling to share: June 2007
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 18, 2007. I've known a bunch of good cowboys. Also some good cowmen. I've worked big herds of cattle. Where you had to read the brands. I've seen some bad cold winters. You had to feed'em or they'd die. But I've seen it rain in August. With the grass up to their eyes. I've been bucked off some horses. I had to get back on and ride. The work went on, you couldn't walk home. Also, I had my pride. The honesty of a good cow horse. Is very hard to describe. He knew his job, he did the work.

wheeling to share: April 2007
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2007_04_01_archive.html
Monday, April 30, 2007. March 12 Venice Beach. March 12 Venice Beach. Sitting on top of misplaced granite. I watch these wicked waves break with rocky New England bombast. Of the summer yet-to-be. June and July don't exist now. Where cat-quick crabs magnetically move. Over the stony jumble. Amid my braincoral thoughts of other oceans. And the creature I will always be and. Likewise haunted by the sea but oh-so-much-more unhappily. Anemones hide, retracted from the sun. Their purple pulpy arms pulled in.

wheeling to share: September 2006
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 21, 2006. Well, blow me down (the road) or Put that in your pipe and smoke it. In my last post - about our Flexcar jaunt to Palm Springs - I mentioned. Something about having Willie Nelson along for the ride. Well, as bad. As yesterday's errand-running adventure was for me, I think Willie had it worse this week. All for having Mary Jane along for the ride in his tour bus. I mean, come on Louisiana! Kenya, your self-care bon vivant. Monday, September 18, 2006. Learning from the kiddos.

Thursday, November 16, 2006. Le beaujolais nouveau est arrive! Today is the annual launch of beaujolais nouveau. All over the world, vino lovers like us are toasting and sipping the freshly harvested fruits from the beaujolais region of france. It is on mornings just like this one (rare, sadly, lo they are) that we are glad to have our drivers in waiting (specifically the Culver 6). The worldwide awareness for this juicy juice is due primarily to Georges Duboeuf. And now, to nap! Feeling less fuelish in ...

wheeling to share: October 2006

Tuesday, October 24, 2006. Things to do without a car:. 1 walk by Kirby's Pet Store on your way home from the Farmer's Market and exit with a new bundle of fluff and sass. 2 throw a "cracklin" duraflame on the fire and watch Batman Begins with your pals, lolo. 3 join your significant other on the walk home from work. In the quiet of the late, late night. 4 hop the bus to see Jack in 3D. With new and improved Roy Orbison styled glasses). 5 watch a meth junkie. Kenya, your self-care bon vivant. Feeling les...

wheeling to share: Bus Poem
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2007/05/poem.html
Thursday, May 31, 2007. Macias, the old, dead poet. Wills the pencil to the page. From deep inside the casket. Even torn from its stalk. Still follows, attentive, the movement of the sun. The clams from Maine. Taken from their tidy beds. Still open with the ebb and flow from way back east. Their mute cries falling flat. And the corn never tastes as sweet. As it did in summer. Kenya, your self-care bon vivant. 4:24 PM, June 01, 2007. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Fellow Travelers and Resources.

wheeling to share: downtown adventures: the LA Library
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2007/05/downtown-adventures-la-library.html
Thursday, May 17, 2007. Downtown adventures: the LA Library. I'd lived here for 14 years prior to venturing into our downtown library. suffice it to say that's just far too long. Our 'brary is gorgeous. From the large courtyard with ample shade, to the vast atrium . but the old section is the real glory. now the children's zone and also the locale for exhibits, you can still see murals originally hung in 1928. wheeling to share: switzerland by way of payola
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2007/04/switzerland-by-way-of-payola.html
Monday, April 30, 2007. Switzerland by way of payola. Lots of chatter about carbon neutrality and the offsets market. For the uninformed, a company or individual can estimate their output of greenhouse gases. then donations are made to projects designed to "offset" the emissions (tree planting, solar panel installation etc. and the options in the etc. category are growing daily). So, let's salute the projects designed to diminish our wicked fossil fuel dependent ways. then let's keep recommending, pu...

wheeling to share: Coffee and O.J with local flavor...
http://wheelingtoshare.blogspot.com/2007/04/coffee-and-oj.html
Thursday, April 19, 2007. Coffee and O.J with local flavor. I was stunned that somebody so apparently all-there would. HERE In the city where it happened. Where was Fred Goldman when I needed him? He could tell her everything that was wrong about it. He might even get through to her or get an answer as to Why. And Why That Outfit? Who was I to ask and what could I do. except tell you.
