The Frustrated Female: I'll Have Some of That, Please
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2010/09/ill-have-some-of-that-please.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Sunday, September 26, 2010. I'll Have Some of That, Please. O kay, okay so there has been so much written about the Old Spice guy lately.you know the one on the horse.that it seems like there really isn't much more to say. But what's really noticeable is that now we have several sticks of Old Spice deodorant and bottles of body wash in the house. The boys are using it. The girls are using it. I've even tried it. Before this bra...Digital Datin...

The Frustrated Female: April 2009
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Tuesday, April 28, 2009. Call me naive, but the crushing reality of what plastic and plastic bottles are doing to our environment and our oceans has been a bit removed from my active conscious. Well, no more. I just read a PBS article on the plastic problem. And it was a bit of an eye opener. Did you know that there is an 'island' of plastic the size of Texas floating out in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean? Posted by Janie Curtis. Anyway, I w...

The Frustrated Female: Back to School with a Mattress?
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2010/08/back-to-school-with-mattress.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. Back to School with a Mattress? Okay - come on now - a back to school mattress sale? I have never heard about a kid going back to school with a mattress - infact I was under the distinct impression that the teachers preferred to keep everyone awake at school. Posted by Janie Curtis. The Frustrated Female: March 2009
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Monday, March 23, 2009. The $4 paper bag! Last Saturday afternoon I had a delightful time taking my daughter and a friend to the cinema to see a film. We were seeing The Pink Panther 2 and it was actually very funny. So now I hate The Grand Theaters. Just think that they could have won over an avid fan with $4 - who would then have spread the word to more potential fans of this great destination. Instead they have an avid enemy who wil...The E...

http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2010/08/more-things-change-more-they-stay-same.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Friday, August 6, 2010. The More Things Change, The More They Stay the Same. While this has gotten a lot of play already in the press, it was just too juicy to pass up commenting on it. I am sure that many of you have noticed the story that recently hit the airwaves about Ann Taylor's most recent run-in with the evils of airbrushing. In case you haven't, here's the story. It's easy. Retire the retoucher. Posted by Deb Boyda. New print and digi...

The Frustrated Female: Hope For Sale
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2010/09/hope-for-sale.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Monday, September 20, 2010. I think that most people who have read my blog know that I have fairly high standards when it comes to marketing messages and brands that clearly are getting involved with something in order to boost sales rather than because they really care. Clever - and effective - also a great cause that has not been over-marketed. Posted by Janie Curtis. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Interplay Ideas - Ways to Engage.

The Frustrated Female: No Female Appeal
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2010/09/no-female-appeal.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Thursday, September 9, 2010. I found myself having a very mixed reaction when I first saw the AT&T 'Blanket' commercial. On the positive side, I definitely was impressed by the visual magnificence of seeing all those buildings and bridges being covered by the orange silk and wondered - as I am sure I was meant to do - how on earth they managed to do it. Amazing! However, as a female consumer, it left me cold in a couple of pretty important ways.

A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Monday, August 23, 2010. I know I should like this advertising idea from Charmin - after all, aren't us Brits totally obsessed with bathroom humor? I don't know though - I am really struggling with this one. Perhaps more importantly, no matter how soft the toilet paper, I am still not going to be having my own private party in the washroom - it just isn't going to happen. Posted by Janie Curtis. Wednesday, August 11, 2010. I know that in this ...

The Frustrated Female: June 2010
http://thefrustratedfemale.blogspot.com/2010_06_01_archive.html
A collection of everyday annoyances in the world of shopping. Monday, June 21, 2010. Fixing The Wobbly Parts. I have been fascinated by the swimwear that started to appear about two years ago that claimed to make you look 10 lbs thinner. In actual fact, it does make one's torso tighter and trimmer, so from that perspective it does do what it claims to do. So, if I was an apple shape, I would be totally happy right now, having had this swimwear successfully reduce me from a large Macintosh to a small Fuji.
