This is one of those little stores that America survived on for many years. Unfortunately these little treasures have slowly drifted into the past for the most part and that is a sad thing to see. Monday, July 13, 2009. The small downtown area caters to locals and tourists. They have done a nice job of restoring some of the old buildings in town. There are a a small number of shops, restaurants and other things to do. It is a great place to spend a day or two. There are also a large number of older homes in town that have kept there charm. Friday, May 29, 2015. They are laying another railroad track beside the one behind my house. Possibly extending the Telford siding track so they can run longer trains. Whatever it’s for, it can’t be good for we who live so near the tracks. I wonder what gives with the tulip poplar trees around my house?
