Will Works.: CB450 weber intake continued
http://makeshiftpretty.blogspot.com/2010/03/cb450-weber-intake-continued.html
I always have projects. I thought I might make a place to document some of them. I make stuff pretty. Tuesday, March 30, 2010. CB450 weber intake continued. So I cut down the MG Weber DCOE intake manifold with a hacksaw, but couldn't make perfectly straight cuts. Off to the machine shop! Threw it in a vice in a bridgeport and milled it all level. I didn't realize I'd make the ports ovalized because I was cutting them where they bent, so I had to cut the ends off for a little bit of symmetry. Oops! This b...

I always have projects. I thought I might make a place to document some of them. I make stuff pretty. Wednesday, February 24, 2010. So I'm making a custom intake manifold for my engine project. The stock CB450 has two small carbs hose clamped to individual rubber coated steel intake manifolds. I'm making an aluminum manifold, so I used the stock ones as a pattern. The first thing I did was cut my piece of aluminum in half on a band saw. I cleaned up the cuts on the belt sander, filed them down, then de-b...

http://makeshiftpretty.blogspot.com/2010/03/so-i-was-talking-to-my-neighbor-about.html
I always have projects. I thought I might make a place to document some of them. I make stuff pretty. Sunday, March 7, 2010. So I was talking to my neighbor about my plans to build a cafe racer and he told me he was given three bikes back in 1995 for free; a CL350 which he gave to a friend who turned it into a vintage racer, an XS650 which he drove for a year before selling it, and a CB450 he kept at a friends garage that I could have. No way! So this weekend I went up to get it. March 8, 2010 at 7:46 PM.

I always have projects. I thought I might make a place to document some of them. I make stuff pretty. Wednesday, March 3, 2010. So my good friend JoeyV. Has thrown dandelion seeds into my carefully manicured lawn. I have been on the "cafe racer" fix for some time now. Vintage style racer looks with imaginary performance. Lots of time and money go in to them for what is basically an awesome fashion accessory that looks fast. What is the opposite of this shine? I have a lot of careful thinking to do.
