So I cut down the MG Weber DCOE intake manifold with a hacksaw, but couldn't make perfectly straight cuts. Off to the machine shop! Threw it in a vice in a bridgeport and milled it all level. I didn't realize I'd make the ports ovalized because I was cutting them where they bent, so I had to cut the ends off for a little bit of symmetry. Oops! This b...

The stock CB450 has two small carbs hose clamped to individual rubber coated steel intake manifolds. I'm making an aluminum manifold, so I used the stock ones as a pattern. So I was talking to my neighbor about my plans to build a cafe racer and he told me he was given three bikes back in 1995 for free; a CL350 which he gave to a friend who turned it into a vintage racer, an XS650 which he drove for a year before selling it, and a CB450 he kept at a friends garage that I could have.
