Home made table saw. August 19, 2016. I needed to cleanly cut a number of 2×4’s in half but I didn’t own a table saw. I came up with this contraption. A circular saw clamped to some timber resting on two saw horses. It worked, but very dangerous. At one stage the timber jammed ripping the saw out of the clamps. I would highly recommend people buying a table saw rather than resorting to this method. If you don’t know what a riving knife is, or how it can save your fingers, please, watch this video.

December 2, 2016. As Christmas approaches, it reminds me of a story from a few years ago. It was Christmas eve around 4:30pm with friends about to head over and the shops getting close to closing. I turn the bread maker on to make some sourdough, when I notice something isn’t right. The machine is making weird noises and the mixing blade isn’t spinning. On running it manually I got the following error. Error /var/lib/dpkg/info/clamav-daemon.postinst: 626: /var/lib/dpkg/info/clamav-daemon.postinst: cannot create : Directory nonexistent.
