FishKnits: And We’re Off!!!
http://califishknits.blogspot.com/2012/07/and-were-off.html
Swimming through my ocean of yarn knot by knot. Wednesday, July 04, 2012. And We’re Off! This is such a beautiful top for summer and I’m knitting as fast as I can so that, for once, I won’t have to wait a whole season to wear my new garment. Have you checked out Milana yet? I’ll wait while you click on the link. Isn’t it cute? Come on, you know you want to cast on! While you’re at it, why not join the FG Designs Ravelry group? Here’s a little peek at where I am on Milana. Hope to see you on Ravelry.

VIDEO TUTORIALS: Every great sweater begins with the great swatch.
http://videotutorialsfkm.blogspot.com/2009/11/every-great-sweater-begins-with-great.html
Saturday, November 21, 2009. Every great sweater begins with the great swatch. I know that some people think that to knit a swatch is a chore, nuisance, or even some ancient thing that nobody needs since the pattern tells you how many stitches you need to cast on. Well, how about if I give you some scenarios what happened to “Martha” and you decide if making a swatch is worth her time. (Sorry, cannot help myself. My teaching techniques coming through:). Scenario #1: The usual. Scenario #3. Periodic.

VIDEO TUTORIALS: September 2009
http://videotutorialsfkm.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 23, 2009. I use this cast-on method in many of my designs. I hope you like it as much as I do. HELP WITH SWEET HONEY BERET. BRIOCHE STITCH THAT IS USED IS CALLED HONEYCOMB STITCH. This video demonstrates the most difficult part of Honeycomb Stitch (in the round) that was used in this beret. Only two rounds are shown. You should not have any problems with other rounds. This pattern can be found in the Winter 2008 issue of Interweave Knits. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Back to MY BLOG.

VIDEO TUTORIALS: December 2009
http://videotutorialsfkm.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 9, 2009. Making a perfect selvage stitch edge. I want to share with you this very important (for many reasons) technique that makes your knitting edges perfect. Let's look at these pictures first. This one shows two swatches worked in Garter Stitch (knit all sts). Can you see how different the edges are? The left swatch does not have the selvage stitch. The right one does. Here is another view of the same swatches. The stitch will be on your right needle. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
