A Clear, Brilliant Glass: January 2009
http://brilliantglass.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Wednesday, January 28, 2009. I need to lose weight. But I'm not sure how easy this will be. Wait, I just realized what I said. Who is it easy for? Maybe just the stars who have loads of money, a personal trainer and a chief. Moving on. I am still nursing Cole and my weight seems to be stuck in the same 3 pound range. Technically I lost the baby weight. At my 6 week post- pardum. Appointment I was a few pounds below my pre. Pregnancy weight. Guess what that means? I probably spen...

A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Sunday, April 26, 2009. Spring Break Take Two. Got a recorded call from our school district this morning. The instructions we received from the Health Department have changed during the past 24 hours. At this time, we have been instructed to close all campuses in the District for the upcoming school week due to concerns of spreading the Swine Flu. There has been 2 confirmed cases and 1 pending case of Swine Flu at one of our high schools. Posted by A Clear, Brilliant Glass.

A Clear, Brilliant Glass: July 2009
http://brilliantglass.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Thursday, July 23, 2009. A bit of a downer post. Every year around the third weekend in July we take our annual trip to a small town in New Mexico where Keven's parents went to high school, met and married. There is still family living there. But this year it was different and I expect next year to be even more so. Keven's grandma was recently moved into assisted living. She suffered a stroke two years ago and now suffers from Vascular Dementia. I would say the chances are prett...

A Clear, Brilliant Glass: October 2009
http://brilliantglass.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Thursday, October 29, 2009. When Cole was little and we were trying to get him to give us kisses, the kid was very stingy. Sometimes it would take me 2 or 3 days to convince him to give me, his Mama, a single kiss. Well, times have changed. Now he is a kiss giving fool. And boy does he gets angry if you try to turn him down (which I only do if he needs his nose wiped, for example). Last night while I was rocking him to sleep, he gave me fourteen kisses. Yes, 14! It was in our ma...

A Clear, Brilliant Glass: Friendship
http://brilliantglass.blogspot.com/2010/07/friendship.html
A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Tuesday, July 27, 2010. Remember back in the old days when you used to make friendship bracelets for all your friends using embroidery floss? As usual, that fad is back. or maybe it never left. Maybe Kaelyn is just old enough now to be into it? Either way, that is what she is into now. Except that her bracelets were not so hot. She twisted and made some kind of messy knots. She cut random short lengths of floss that would come out too small to fit anyone. Faith has a kit, too...

A Clear, Brilliant Glass: Weather and the Civil Defense Siren
http://brilliantglass.blogspot.com/2010/07/weather-and-civil-defense-siren.html
A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Friday, July 16, 2010. Weather and the Civil Defense Siren. I've never lived in a city with sirens. Or if I did, I never heard it. Last Wednesday was overcast. We hadn't had any rain yet, but I knew it was in the forecast. I was on my laptop sitting in the office, the kids were watching TV. Then I heard it. And my heart started racing. I know that if a tornado is spotted the sirens go off. I know that I should beat it down to the basement and hunker down under the stairs. One of...

http://brilliantglass.blogspot.com/2009_05_01_archive.html
A Clear, Brilliant Glass. Thursday, May 21, 2009. Ahh, sitting down to blog. Blog time has been much more difficult to come by these days. My Mom and step Dad are all moved in. Last week was busy with moving them in, moving their stuff into storage, sorting through all the food they brought (mostly pantry type items) and just getting into a new normal. I don't get to watch my shows when I want to. I sound like a spoiled brat. So far we are coming out ahead in this deal. :). How did that happen? She reall...
