Thursday, February 25, 2010. To tell the truth, it started long before I got to Filoli and worked in the panel gardens with the chickens. But I have to say, I really. Want to keep chickens someday. I'm serious. The future dream home in my mind has had a little chicken coop in the yard, along with huge garden, ever since I read Animal, Vegetable, Miracle. Could it be because they need only slightly more personal attention than goldfish, and much less than dogs? Could it be the fresh eggs? Interacting with...

Monday, April 12, 2010. The trouble with keeping a blog is that when I finally turn my mind to write something, I look over my life and find that there is nothing in it worthwhile to be read by anyone besides myself. Good grief, I really have been too immersed in Jane Austen. I can hardly put together a sentence without feeling something of her voice and vocabulary creeping in. It is beyond anything! Thursday, April 15, 2010. My online management class professor just announced that for our written assignments, submitting the minimum of three pages given in our syllabus would earn a C (the maximum is six pages). Okay, great. The syllabus said nothing about the correlation between length and grade, and we've already submitted two assignments! Why post assignment guidelines that will get you only a C and neglect to say that they'll only get you a C? Posted by Freesha at 2:05 PM. Whom have I in heaven.

Wednesday, June 09, 2010. I am getting a grip. Really, I am. This morning I finally got around to calling the utilities companies in Newark to get gas and electric set up in time for me to sign my lease next Tuesday (next Tuesday? Calm down, Felicia.), and then I ordered a phone line and DSL, and I've secured another important item of furniture, and got renter's insurance taken care of. Life on the east coast is taking a shape, slowly. What shape it will be remains to be seen. Posted by Freesha at 6:17 PM.

Tuesday, June 22, 2010. Ah yes, another phase, another blog URL. Will I update any more often just because I'm moving? I will post pretty photos of the seasons in a place that actually has four seasons. In one week, I'll be there. Posted by Freesha at 10:30 PM. For Eternal Love, I Cast Iniquity Aside. Friday, April 02, 2010. I don't want to leave home. I like sitting here and watching the lemon flowers open outside my window and the last rays lighting up the treetops in the evening. I wish I could fast-forward a couple years and find myself back in California for good, with my masters degree in hand and a real job secured. I know what Good Friday means. I have been reconciled with God forever because of this day. Posted by Freesha at 6:49 PM. For Eternal Love, I Cast Iniquity Aside. June 26: Oasis SAN.

Saturday, January 30, 2010. You haven't really lived until you've spent a mild January day gardening with chickens underfoot. These are the director's, two hens and two roosters (the second rooster, a gray silkie. Who're you calling chicken? Posted by Freesha at 5:56 PM. For Eternal Love, I Cast Iniquity Aside.
