Fairly Merry: January 2015
http://fairlymerry.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Fairly Merry - Mary, Merrily Quilting Away. Wednesday, January 28, 2015. I participated in a mini quilt swap hosted by a fellow quilter on Instagram. This swap was huge, over 500 participants worldwide. I had 50 swappers in the group I coordinated. Here is the mini I made and sent to my original partner. One of the swappers wasn't able to send a mini so I stepped in to send one to her recipient so no one was left out. I settled on a paperpiece pattern by Kelly Orr, you can find her patterns on Payhip now.
Fairly Merry: August 2014

Fairly Merry - Mary, Merrily Quilting Away. Monday, August 25, 2014. Something that makes someone want to do something or that gives someone an idea about what to do or create : a force or influence that inspires someone. For an upcoming meeting with the Virginia Beach Modern Quilt Guild. We have a challenge, take the block #110 from The Farmers Wife Sampler Quilt. After looking at a few different images of the Wood Lily block, I settled on two elements, th e half square triangle and flying geese. The sm...
Fairly Merry: June 2015
http://fairlymerry.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Fairly Merry - Mary, Merrily Quilting Away. Sunday, June 28, 2015. House of the Rising Sun. Pillows are super gratifying in that I can have an idea and then have a completed project within 12 hours, even adding a bit of sleep in the middle of working on the pillow. I pulled Alison Glass. Fabrics that reminded me of the ocean and sand. I cut strips with my rotary, but no ruler to have them odd shaped and give a little improv natural look to the landscape. And now a finished improv pillow for a beach fan.

Author Archives: susannah kate. I’ve started knitting. Socks to be exact! I’ve always been curious about sock knitting and was then inspired by Amanda of Hey Porkchop. And her awesome collection of hand knit socks. Amanda recommended the book Socks from the Toe Up. By Wendy D. Johnson. Another adventure I didn’t anticipate when I started knitting was yarn dyeing. I wanted all the crazy variegated yarns that I kept seeing on Pinterest so I did what any sane full time working mother of three would do&#...

Studio 3 Twelve: Fresh Sewing Day - June 2013
http://icantwanna.blogspot.com/2013/07/fresh-sewing-day-june-2013.html
2013 - Plans and Finishes. Monday, July 1, 2013. Fresh Sewing Day - June 2013. It never seems I get things done. And by done, I mean finished. Sometimes it's true. June was a good month, I think. Some of them were even real finishes. Some of them were finishes of that stage. Like the quilt tops. Hopefully, I'll get the backs made, and then get them layered this month. I found FRESH SEWING DAY via Fairly Merry. So I am linking up. I especially like the birds. July 1, 2013 at 3:38 PM. Archie the wonder dog.
QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT: Let's just ignore that awkward silence in between posts, shall we?
http://brookquilt.blogspot.com/2013/03/let-just-ignore-that-awkward-silence-in.html
QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT. Sunday, March 17, 2013. Lets just ignore that awkward silence in between posts, shall we? Oh good grief. I stink at blogging. But I was so excited to be a part of the Pantone Color of the Year: Emerald challenge .that I returned to my blog. Here's my "topper category" entry. Lets just say that I'm an obsessive type of person, and despite extreme effort.I just couldn't make it to the quilting stage on this one. I'm ok with that as I am still able to enter it. Although, I am...
QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT: So this one tiny thing made me do it....

QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT. Thursday, April 11, 2013. So this one tiny thing made me do it. A very dear set of friends gave me this little pin. But don't be fooled. This pin has huge powers. It made me cut up perfectly luscious Kona cotton. Then it made me sew it all back together again. All the pins I'd collected over the years were crowding a very small wallhanging. So when The Queen and The Princess in Training gave me that sweet pin.I knew I had to make it a special home. Clever idea, Shelley!
QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT: Baby steps, people....
http://brookquilt.blogspot.com/2014/08/baby-steps-people.html
QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Baby steps, people. Day two. Still here. Attempting to break a record by blogging more than two or three times a year. Remember last night when I shared the touching story of when we moved and my stash was "outed". Here's my "WALL O'FABRIC" all nicely colorized and somewhat organized. The shelving in my other house held the fabric better but these big metal racks work. I see a quilt inspiration. August 20, 2014 at 8:04 AM. A Quilt is Nice.
QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT: Can you really call posting once a year blogging?

QUILTING AT THE SPEED OF NIGHT. Monday, August 18, 2014. Can you really call posting once a year blogging? And I'm starting O V E R. NOW! Stay tuned folks. I promise to start blogging seriously. Please enjoy one of more recent finishes. I made the design created by CrazyMomQuilts. She's such a talented quilter with great ideas and designs. I love her work. Or "you mean there's more- -we're going to need more boxes." So that was a lot of fun. I'll get to say about 2 years. Labels: Crazy Mom Quilts. I love...

Friday, October 31, 2014. Bloggers' Quilt Festival- Autumn Improv. Today I'm entering my Autumn Improv Quilt. In the Original Designs category. Of the Blogger's Quilt Festival. I've supported the quilt festival for several years because I feel it's a great way to see some amazing projects others have created that I otherwise might not get a chance to see. Yesterday I posted a tutorial. On this quilt for the Oakshott Cottons. Blog hop. Today I'm sharing a bit more detail about the actual quilt itself.
