Book Burrower: The Spinning Heart - Donal Ryan
http://bookburrower.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-spinning-heart-donal-ryan.html
The Spinning Heart - Donal Ryan. With Ireland as backdrop, it is easy to see why the setting is bleak. However, the writing is quite good. It could be a new style of narration, I am not sure, but there were too many perspectives, too many characters. The disadvantage of a story told by too many people is that you cant really leave it mid-way to pick it up later. You tend to forget some of them and it would be paragraphs and paragraphs of story that you are trying to make sense of. 2016 - Reading Plan.

Book Burrower: Reading List - May
http://bookburrower.blogspot.com/2015/04/reading-list-may.html
Reading List - May. Books that I was supposed to have finished in March are still pending. Well, not all, but some yes. I am pushing three books of April month to May and so, now May will have to bear the additional burden of three books. It is too ambitious to read six, but no harm in trying, considering I am already reading a couple of them before May begins. So here it goes:. 1 Wasp Factory - Ian Banks. 2 On the Road - Jack Kerouac. 3 Revival - Stephen King. 4 High Fidelity - Nick Hornby. Tokyo Cancel...

Book Burrower: High Fidelity - Nick Hornby
http://bookburrower.blogspot.com/2015/05/high-fidelity-nick-hornby.html
High Fidelity - Nick Hornby. I just could not read this book. There was really not much I could relate to - the hero or the other characters or even the music scene. I am sure it is because of the cultural differences, and because so much is about music I don't know, but a great book is supposed to transcend all such barriers and just touch the emotions that is universal amongst humanity. Too much of effort. for nothing. I can't categorize it as completed. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). 2015 - Books...

Two Scoops Of My Mind: March 2009
http://twoscoopsofmymind.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html
Two Scoops Of My Mind. Monday, March 30, 2009. Stunning Step to Socialism. I may not have a fancy college degree in communication, political science, business management, or anything else for that matter, but let me take my uneducated stab at how the General Motors news may be affecting the stock market:. Let me say that again for those of you just zoning: THE GM CEO RESIGNED AT THE REQUEST OF THE WHITE HOUSE. Should they decide who our President is? Let me think about that one for a while. Another reaso...

Pure Jilliness: October 2009
http://jilliness.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw snow outside my window this morning. It wasn't even that cold yesterday! How could it snow? I want my rain back! On top of that, I'm fighting this darn cold, and I feel like my head is a helium balloon being pumped up; the pressure increasing with every sniffle. Argh. Which brings me to reason why no one received any comments yesterday. I was feeling sick. And lazy. I'll make it up to you today. Is this a result of my cold, or maybe its just me?

Becoming: Spa Mountain Naturals
http://becoming-becoming.blogspot.com/2011/09/spa-mountain-naturals.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. After being contacted by Spa Mountain Naturals. About reviewing some of their products. I looked over the website and being intrigued by it, I said, "Yes! I'd love to review some product." I am so glad I did, because they have some great stuff! After the box arrived promptly in the mail and was opened, the delicious scent made me smile. One of my favorite things is the smell of natural beauty products. Natural products smell good, pure and clean. Mmmmmmm. Pick me for the so...
