http://livingdowntheroad.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
A Commuter's Life for Me. Thursday, December 15, 2011. I hope your finals have gone smoothly, that you have not been too overwhelmed with all the assignments, and the traveling back and forth from Eastern to your home has not been too terrible. Today, I am going to write to you about some of the events we are planning as commuters for next year; there are several options, if you could please vote for one that most interests you in the comment section. I hope everyone has a great winter break! Sometimes wh...

a resident nomad; Hainer to Kea: A Friendly Reminder
http://aresidentnomadhainertokea.blogspot.com/2012/06/friendly-reminder.html
A resident nomad; Hainer to Kea. Wednesday, June 20, 2012. I need friends. After the other posts on my blog this might seem like a no duh! In the same way you can't love God without loving those around you. I have been struggling in my devotion and prayer time. By struggling I mean that they have been nonexistent. Jesus also said ". Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Commuter's Life for Me. View my complete profile.

a resident nomad; Hainer to Kea: I am valuable
http://aresidentnomadhainertokea.blogspot.com/2012/06/i-am-valuable.html
A resident nomad; Hainer to Kea. Friday, June 1, 2012. This school year was amazing for me because I felt valuable. For the first time in years I felt appreciated. I felt like people actually liked me. I knew that I was okay just as I was. I had the confidence to do things and not feel judged on them. I could make friends and know that they actually liked me, not just faking it. It was amazing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). For all of you who live at Eastern how do you see the community on campus?

Into the Christian Fog: Be Angry
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011/10/be-angry.html
Into the Christian Fog. Sunday, October 23, 2011. I have found that sometimes i give up on things. Like working out or getting good at ping pong or writting letters. I somehow become apathetic towards things like this. Sometimes i feel apathetic towards my spiritual life too. I normally have strong feelings and emotions regarding what path God is taking me down but every once in awhile it all drifts away as i begin to feel nothing. I think is the most dangerous place for a person to be. I have found that...

Into the Christian Fog: Fear?
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011/10/fear.html
Into the Christian Fog. Sunday, October 30, 2011. Sin is believing the lie that you are self-created, self-dependent and self-sustained. A friend asked if Jesus ever feared when he was alive. Now I am no theologian but it certainly got me thinking. What is fear and why do we have it? I know that this is such a complex question but hang with me because i might be on to something. And what if sin was as st. Augustine describes it? Looking back on Jesus, maybe He was so aware of who He was that His confiden...

Into the Christian Fog: Recognition
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011/10/recognition.html
Into the Christian Fog. Sunday, October 16, 2011. Somehow, every person who chooses to do unwise things eventually comes to find that it was, in fact, unwise. What i find to be very sad in all of this is that we seldom recognize that we do this. Therefore, we don't exactly know what we believe. Our choices seem less reflected upon. We become unable to discern whether we are doing wise or unwise things. Come to this point. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A Search for Truth: Variations in Faith at EU.

Into the Christian Fog. Wednesday, November 9, 2011. How are you going to keep your scholarships if you GPA is already struggling as a first semester freshman? Maybe social work shouldn't be your major if you don't even care much about getting an education? Maybe you should focus more on your fall-back plan"- "You really think you are good enough to keep up with work loads like this? But soon i had to quetion. Why does it seem that hard times bring such a raw sense of God's power? Subscribe to: Post Comm...

Into the Christian Fog: November 2011
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Into the Christian Fog. Saturday, November 26, 2011. How are you doing with your faith? Faith is that thing that people fall back on when everything around them seems to be meaningless. In Ecclesiates, Solomon seems to only see the world as. The interesting thing is that vanity cannot recognize itself. When Solomon declares that the entire world holds no meaning, he says so on a very particular basis. Saturday, November 19, 2011. It was early, around 7:30, and the overcast sky sent a blanket of opaque li...

Into the Christian Fog: December 2011
http://christianfog.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Into the Christian Fog. Tuesday, December 6, 2011. Sometimes pushing through hard times is a good way to learn, but sometimes learning is simply not enough. There comes a point where confusion can no longer be justified. It is this point where it is demanded of us to get back up from whatever brought us down. Or "what did you learn? But then he suggested something that rendered me silent for a moment/ He asked what i was going to do now. Funny thing is, we cannot avoid them. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
