I am entirely grateful and humbled that they’ve not only taken the time (within their busy lives) but that they’ve let us in, so that we may all find ourselves somewhere in connection with the many stories shared. Thank you! Faith is someone I “met” in my early days of joining Instagram. If you are a mother how d...

http://francissills.blogspot.com/2015/02/flowers.html
Notes from the studio. Thursday, February 19, 2015. The Winter months usually bring a temporary halt to painting outside in the landscape, even though I love the light and muted colors I see everywhere. To keep me busy, I've been working on some paintings of flowers that are around our house (courtesy of my wife, Faith Evans-Sills. Oil on paper; 12" x 16". Oil on linen; 7.5" x 10". Well I’ve been thinking about my couch a lot lately. But recently, I saw an article in the. On March 8, 2012 at 3:11 am. I love the end! You a...

May 29, 2015. I'm no baseball fan, but I want to make a series. Of art quilts, that is.You could too - come along! I've been making one quilt at a time - inspired by this, learning that technique, entering a competition . I am going in a zillion directions at once! Time to settle into a series. My organized hero, Elizabeth Barton, in her book Elizabeth Barton's Visual Guide to Working in a Series. You can see my idea is kind of lightweight. And that's perfect for me. Francis Sills: March 2014
http://francissills.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Notes from the studio. Sunday, March 30, 2014. Stage 1: 14" x 12". There's something very comforting, but very frightening, about the self-portrait. My next portrait is of my wife, Faith. 30 : 2 Pittsbu...
