Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Rumi Darwaza is a unique structure in Lucknow. Built by Nawab Asaf ud Daulah in 1786, it stands west of Bada Imambara and is 60-ft high. It was built on the lines of a gate at Rum in Constantinople. Rumi Darwaza is also known as Turkish Gateway and neither wood nor iron was used in its construction. Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Husainabad Clock Tower is a Moorish style structure standing high in Lucknow. It lies midway between Chota Imambara. And Bada Imambara. It was built to commemorate the occasion of the arrival of Sir George Cooper, the first Lt Governor of the United Province, during the fag end of the 19th century. Built by Nawab Nasir-ud-Din Haidar.
