rugbymad or just mad?: Semi Detatched
http://rugbymadgirl.blogspot.com/2008/03/semi-detatched.html
Saturday, March 22, 2008. Leicester Tigers vs London Wasps (34-24). As a neutral watching the game, it was a very entertaining 80 minutes, with the lead changing hands several times, often against the run of play. Scored a great try in the first half, and the teams went in 13-12 at half time. Is enveloped by Andy Goode. Looking sharp for the Leicester defence]. Whilst for the Tigers, Seru Rabeni, Dan Hipkiss. All crossed. No-one was more surprised than the Prop himself, when Castrogiovanni found hims...

Sunday, April 06, 2008. Revenge: A Dish Best Served Cold. What a difference a fortnight makes! Saracens' fans didn't dare hope they might see such a turn around in their team's fortunes, but they were surprised and delighted with the guys' performance against the Ospreys at Vicarage Road. It was one of the best games I have ever witnessed Saracens play, in my 4 years of watching them. Everyone from 1 to 22 put their all into the game. Slippery Winger Shane Williams. Hamstring) and Andy Farrell. Knocked o...

rugbymad or just mad?: Festive Falcons Visit
http://rugbymadgirl.blogspot.com/2007/12/festive-falcons-visit.html
Sunday, December 30, 2007. With Saracens' recent form, I think most folks were expecting an easy victory against the visiting Newcastle Falcons. But we all know what comes before a fall, and Jonny Wilkinson. Co pulled off their first victory at Vicarage Road since 2001, and also their first away win in the Premiership in over a year. By final whistle. The travelling fans were naturally ecstatic. Those of us at home following the game online were left nursing our bitten fingernails! I think the Christmas ...

rugbymad or just mad?: January 2007
http://rugbymadgirl.blogspot.com/2007_01_01_archive.html
Tuesday, January 30, 2007. The Men In Black had a great game against Narbonne on 14th January. They beat the French visitors by 47-20. Here's a shot from the match:. You can see more pictures from that game at rugbypix.com. So Saracens are on course for a great half term report, having won their pool in the European Rugby Cup, which means they get a home Quarter Final. They play Glasow Warriors again (having beaten them once in Watford and drawn the return leg at Glasgow), on the last weekend in March.

Saturday, February 24, 2007. Welsh Dream Turns To Nightmare. Six Nations Game 9 - France vs Wales (32-21). Left] tried for an early drop goal in the first minute, but were given the opportunity of a penalty went wide too. Gough stole French lineout then France stole one back. Then Mignoni passed a cracker to Vincent Clerc. Who made it to withing 5m of the Welsh line. The French won the subsequent lineout, and got a penalty too, as a Welshman took out a lifter. David Skrela. With the Scotland/Italy game!

rugbymad or just mad?: June 2007

Thursday, June 28, 2007. The Emperor's New Clothes. For some time, I've been meaning to give my rugby photography site. A bit of a fresh coat of paint. Plus, the way the site was put together was a little archaic, so I've taken the opportunity to do it the right way, adhering to Web Standards, which should make it faster to load, easier to use and generally more accessible to a wider range of readers. It should also work nicely on your mobile phone, if you have internets on it! So, out with the old:.

rugbymad or just mad?: Grand Slam For Wales
http://rugbymadgirl.blogspot.com/2008/03/grand-slam-for-wales.html
Saturday, March 15, 2008. Grand Slam For Wales. Six Nations Game 15. Wales vs France (29-12). Wales made their intentions clear from the start, and were pressing the French lines within five minutes. Then their opponents killed the ball, and James Hook. Right] stepped up to take the penatly. First blood to the Welsh, 3-0. Hook had another go at goal in the 14th minute, which saile just wide of the posts. S kicking was pretty awful too - including one restart which actually went backwards. And went to the...

rugbymad or just mad?: September 2007
http://rugbymadgirl.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Sunday, September 30, 2007. Springboks Outmuscle The Eagles. Everything was going pretty much to form, with the Springboks able to score three converted tries and a penalty, until the 39th minute. Then Todd Clever. Made a lovely intercept from close to the Eagles' try line - it passed through Alec Parker and Mike Hercus. Left] in midfield before finding the explosive legs of Takudzwa Ngwenya. Wide on the wing. He ran a one-on-one against Bryan Habana. Around 68 minutes, the States put another great passa...

http://rugbymadgirl.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2007. Summer Rolls On By. I'm not really sure where the summer went - I think most of it was rained off, to be honest. But summer, and August particularly, is usually pretty slow for rugby. There's the Middlesex Sevens. At Twickenham (more of which anon), and towards the end of the month, clubs are to be found holding friendlies as pre-season fixtures. So it felt rather strange going to Twickenham last week for a test match - but that's what happens in Rugby World Cup years! My heart s...

Monday, January 28, 2008. Sarries Squeeze Out Bath. Yesterday's game against Bath was a cracker. Saracens were without talismans in their team - Chris Jack. Has briefly gone back to NZ for a family commitment; Kevin Sorrell. Will be out for at least another 3 weeks with an ankle injury, and Captain Neil de Kock. Was pulled from the squad at the last minute to prevent a hamstring injury getting worse if played on, his place taken by Scrum Half Alan Dickens. A clean pair of heels]. Bath hooker Pieter Dixon.
