First of all, I was accepted by AFS U.S. on September 30! They sent me an email confirming it and stating that my application had been sent to AFS Japan for the final word on whether or not I will be going. They also told me that it may be a lengthy wait. MAYBE EVEN 2 MONTHS! D THANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS! There was an error in...

Betania to Japan: Uhm....Hi
http://betaniasjapanblog.blogspot.com/2010/04/uhmhi.html
IT IS OFFICIAL: JAPAN 2010-2011. Thursday, April 29, 2010. Man I feel terrible. I'm such a lazy blogger as of late. I'm just so tired all time. So obviously it's been a while, and I've started school and gotten a bit more settled in. Cute* It's really weird. But I'm having a good time. I have quite a few friends in my class and I've become good friends with the other exchange student who is currently here through Rotary. It's just basically been a good time with school. Because I couldn't hear, they star...

Namwan In Japan: [LIFE#2] ว่าด้วยการแสดง...
http://namwaninjapan2010.blogspot.com/2009/12/life2.html
2010-2011: The exchange year of my life. Tuesday, December 22, 2009. My AFS Japan experience: March 2010
http://afs-carolyninjapan.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
My AFS Japan experience. Wednesday, March 24, 2010. After a 12 hour flight (super cramped) we finally made it to Tokyo at 4pm. We transfered money, took advantage of the cool vending machines, and talked about our orientations (mine is in Osaka). Afterwards, we got on a bus and came to the Nikko hotel in Tokyo. The rooms were pretty cool and I took a lot of pictures (the tub had a TV and the toilet sprayed water, etc)! As you can tell it was cold and rainy when we arrived. Well, the other day my parents ...

My AFS Japan experience: Koukou Soutai
http://afs-carolyninjapan.blogspot.com/2010/07/koukou-soutai.html
My AFS Japan experience. Friday, July 9, 2010. It was pretty cool watching floods of high school students in kyudou uniforms walking down the busy street carrying bows, tatami mats, and straw butts used for targets. This is where we sat all day long with all the other high schools. The shooting area was right outside so anyone who wasn't doing a job or shooting just sat around in here. And played cards (toranpu). Me kyudou friends :3. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). A concussion waiting to happen.

My AFS Japan experience: A concussion waiting to happen
http://afs-carolyninjapan.blogspot.com/2010/07/concussion-waiting-to-happen.html
My AFS Japan experience. Friday, July 9, 2010. A concussion waiting to happen. The workers climb up to the very top with baskets of the stuff. They just throw them up in the air and everyone on the ground scrambles around trying to get as many as possible. My host brother was somewhere in the crowd and we ended up getting a huge bag of mochi which we ate as snacks for a few weeks after. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
