Summer 2014 Highlights and Travel to Florida Fall 2014. Friday, November 7, 2014. Day Three at Long Key and our last day of vacation. What a view behind the camper. The kayak is ready to go on an adventure. We saw an iguana on the beach. He was big (we would guess 6 feet, nose to tip of his tail) and we got real close to him. When he ran off he stood on his hind legs and really ran fast. A white heron stood quietly as we passed. We also saw a number of small sharks and stingrays. Doug and Becky Asbury.

Summer 2014 Highlights and Travel to Florida Fall 2014. Thursday, October 16, 2014. Day Three St Augustine and our last day before we go home to Punta Gorda. Bridge of Lions opening for a boat . Old people enjoying the fort at St. Augustine. We have visited the fort many times. Now with our senior pass we get to go free. The view is very good. Bridge of Lions from the fort. Lizard on the fort. Turret on the fort. Lunch at Crave Truck. You need to look this up and try it. We did see how Popeye met his end.

The beauty (Little Bo Peep) and the beast are dressed for the Halloween party. This is two winners Jim Book and Terry Leemon. Bo Peep with Snow White and CHIPS. Our neighbors Kelly and Wayne looking good. Monarch butterflies on the plant beside Tweety. We saw a large fish jump out of the water out a ways. It looked like a sword fish. Day Two Long Key.

Summer 2014 Highlights and Travel to Florida Fall 2014. Wednesday, November 5, 2014. Day one at Long Key State Park. This is our view outside the window of Tweety. There is a small beach right in front of him as you will see in the other pics. Today starts the beginning of the end to our trip. We traveled a total of 20 miles to Long Key State Park. Our site is number 15 right on the beach. We got the Kayak in the water to take a ride. Tweety looks a little worried. The water is smooth and warm.

Summer 2014 Highlights and Travel to Florida Fall 2014. Thursday, November 6, 2014. Day Two Long Key. Day two at Long Key finds us kayaking with Captain Moron. The water was very thin because the tide had gone out. We kayaked out to deep water. Ok not too deep, and it was hot so jumped in. Notice the fish going through Becky's legs. The water was cooling. The temps had risen to the upper 80's. The view out the front window while Becky is fixing dinner. Hmm, a bird, he looks curious. Sunset was very pretty.

Summer 2014 Highlights and Travel to Florida Fall 2014. Sunday, November 2, 2014. Day Two Curry Hammock, Marathon Key Florida. Today we went into Marathon and had lunch at Burdines Marina. You will have to ask your GPS to get you there. It is on 15th street east of RT. 1. The restaurant is on the second floor overlooking a canal. Becky is enjoying the view. A boat at the marina. Always a cold beer. A whole family of manatee swam below. Another boat at the marina. An iguana walked across our camp site.
