Domesticity, Here I Am! | Family Metamorphosis
https://familymetamorphosis.wordpress.com/2012/08/10/domesticity-here-i-am
Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be. Domesticity, Here I Am! August 10, 2012 1 Comment. This is my bread. I baked it. I didn’t use a breadmaker, I used my oven. And I did it all by myself. Those of you who really know me, know that I’m typically not a baker. I don’t enjoy it. I think it’s too precise for me. I enjoy cooking where you add a dash of this and a dash of that and throw it in the oven for 20 minutes. Or maybe 40. Who cares? Anybody else in awe of how easy baking can be?
A Life of Change | Family Metamorphosis

Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be. A Life of Change. August 28, 2012. The leaves have just begun to change here in the Pacific Northwest. It seems a little early, but it is what it is. And the changing leaves have reminded me of something. I had determined to live a life of change. Mostly because I’m not allowing it to. I do spend a bit more time with my kids, but I am still frustrated with them, and I still have days where I want to rip out my hair. I’m not entirely certain ...
Homeschooling Begins! | Family Metamorphosis
https://familymetamorphosis.wordpress.com/2014/07/15/homeschooling-begins
Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be. July 15, 2014. We always knew we would homeschool. I started doing my research when my oldest child was 18 months old so I would have an idea of what to expect. We tried implementing a preschool curriculum, only to find out that my child was finishing a week’s worth of school in 45 minutes. Do we have a boy-genius on our hands? Or is that much time really wasted in school? Here is what we’re using this year, and how I feel about each. Socials R...

Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be. March 26, 2012. Yesterday was a beautiful, bright, warm, sunshiny day. Our two children, ages almost 3 and 13 months, spent a good portion of the day outside to expend energy and encourage afternoon naps before our evening church service. Well. That was the hope. March 21, 2012. Does anybody else want to take a magic little pill, wake up the next morning and immediately be losing 5 or 10 pounds every week? Just by taking the magic pill? I’m ...

Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be. These Are A Few Of My Favourite Things…. February 28, 2012 1 Comment. I have long had the idea that maybe one day, I would start my own business, offering my favourite things. Not that I’m the one to come to when you’re looking for something. But I do tend to research. And research and research and research. I rarely end up buying something I don’t like, because I research everything like crazy! So here are a couple of my favourites. Yesterday was...

The Writing Questions | Inside the Writer

November 25, 2014 · 11:23 AM. When people ask you what you do and you tell them you’re a writer, be prepared to close your eyes and shake your head a lot. Better that than blurting out what you’d really like to say. Trust me on this. The first inevitable question, which usually comes with not-so-subtly raised eyebrows: “Oh. What do you write? My response: “Fiction.”. Writing. Apparently, anything you make up in your head is disqualified. Question two: “What have you published? Quantity is the key. If...

March 26, 2014 · 8:03 AM. Where Are the Thinky Ones? The thinky ones are disappearing at an alarming rate. Or so it seems. Where are the thinky ones? I want to talk to them. I have to admit that I’ve found myself downright bored during a good number of conversations I’ve had over the years. I’ve concluded that life is too short to waste on small talk. Especially when small talk is all that too many people are able to produce. Filed under Being Creative. January 25, 2014 · 11:22 AM. Yesterday, I prayed.

March 25, 2014 · 8:12 AM. Have you ever had a Big Idea? You know, the kind of Idea that seems impossible but is fun to think about anyway. The kind of Idea that when you tell people about it they look at you weird and back away. The kind of Idea that has potential to change the world. At least, your world. Yeah, that kind of Idea. I have them all the time. But the problem with having Big Ideas is that you have to be careful who you tell. They are damaging to your creativity. Big Idea is being promoted as.

March 24, 2014 · 10:57 AM. I had company earlier today. This little lady and a few of her friends have managed to find their way into our house as they seem to do every spring. I thought she displayed an amazing degree of bravery, though, marching across my notebook the way she did. Don’t worry, she did not meet her demise. I escaped her, as my four-year-old grandson would say. I read this quote from Ernest Hemingway:. Are my dreams too big? I know what the. RIGHT . . ? Filed under Being Creative. Each d...

Family Metamorphosis | Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be
Trying Harder to Become the Family We Are Supposed To Be. May 29, 2015. I know I’m supposed to write about how amazing it is, and how wonderful of an experience being a parent is. I should write about how much love I feel for my kiddos and how they make me feel complete. I should write about how my life now has purpose and that I’d be wandering in the desert without them. Absolutely not. But were they in the right to talk about me, having no concept of the situation? Where did the village go? Here is wha...

Our families journey in an rv across the usa and mexico. Monday, February 6, 2012. We are home after all of our adventures. It was exciting to see our street, our house, our bed.
