The Blythe Tryste Bunch. Straining to swim upstream. Enviar por correo electrónico. A bit of rhubarb and this bowl of cherries times about three! Some more green-ish garlic: Last year, I must have left several heads in the ground, because I had clumps of garlic growing all over my brassica bed. I cleared most of it out (the above) so as to give the spared-by-rabbits brassicas some more sun. Of peas, chard, kale, Bunte Floren-something and Deer Tongue lettuce, with lots of herbs. Girumy's dream come true!

The Blythe Tryste Bunch. Straining to swim upstream. Out of the mouths of babes. G: O, hey sweetheart. (to Sophie upon waking). G: We are rich! Upon seeing how many beans I harvested). I thought I would be funny and ask my kids and their two friends if any of them would like some coffee, as I put another pot on. ALL of the children: Yes! So, they all had lattes. Sophie: When I am an adult, I want a hooptie with spinners. (Ah, life in the city! Enviar por correo electrónico. The first real haul of onions!

This is Not the Life I Signed-Up For.........: July 2011

This is Not the Life I Signed-Up For. This blog is about the journey of discovering the life I thought I signed up for is not near as rich as the life the Lord has blessed me with; and learning that sometimes not getting exactly what I thought I wanted is often a blessing in disguise. Tuesday, July 19, 2011. The key to our passing court and having our adoption be official was receiving our MOWA letter. I am happy to report that we received this news yesterday! Here is a replay of a conversation:. I am so...

the Blythe Tryste Bunch: What a harvest!
http://blythetrystebunch.blogspot.com/2015/07/what-harvest.html
The Blythe Tryste Bunch. Straining to swim upstream. The first real haul of onions! Isn't it a lovely way to decorate the railing? The beans from above were sauteed and then simmered in a pureed roasted garlic sauce. All from the yarden. We ate the above with another tortilla espan(tilde)ola. Also from the garden. And I love cauliflower. It was just gross. I found that cooking it in a curry hides the nasty bitterness, so that is how I'll finish using it. The kids and I went to the dacha. And great idea w...

The Blythe Tryste Bunch. Straining to swim upstream. The animals are preparing their cave for hibernation. Girumy has been wanting to dress up quite a bit lately. A date with Sophie-Ona: delicious, spicy Indian food and then Don Quixote, the ballet. It was so nice. (Oh, and by the way, you can officially start calling me The Grey Fox. Do you see that streak? The Blythe Tryste Bunch. Straining to swim upstream. Farmer Ty and other things. A while ago, I suggested to Ty that he consider becoming a farmer, what with his eternal energy and all. I can see him sprinting between fields to check on his crops, speed-pulling carrots, easily keeping up with the tractor's transplanting machine. And he has totally taken to the idea. He frequently talks of how he and I will farm together: He wants to drive the tractor; I get to ride our horse. "Perfect! In other news,.

The Blythe Tryste Bunch. Straining to swim upstream. A happy and healthy Sophie! So, I once told the kids that mud was good for the skin. Before I knew it, yesterday, as I was watering the garden, there was Girumy, painting a thrilled Sophie with mud. After I cringed, I thought, "Perfect! This is exactly what kids should be doing: playing outside in the mud.". The kids have been wanting to touch the hens lately, after they have been endearingly pecking the little hands that feed them weeds all day long.
