How Can I Help? During the week there are a variety of opportunities for volunteers. Some congregations have a different member for each slot; others have volunteers take on multiple roles. Volunteers come from the host and support congregations and are assigned duties by the Volunteer Coordinators members of the host congregation who oversee the week. How Can I Help? Alison Smith is the Operations Director for FPJC and has worked with us since June, 2014. Alison comes to FPJC with a great depth of experience in the non-profit world and in customer service. This experience makes Alison a great resource when managing many facets of daily life at FPJC, including being the primary contact with our network of congregations and their volunteers. Racing to end homelessness in our community. When/Where is packet pick-up? At St John's Episcopal Church, E. Myrtle Street main entrance. Friday March 19th from noon to 8pm. If you arrive early, please note that the doors won't open until noon. Race Morning (3/19) from 7am-8:15am. The 10K kick-off is 8:30am.and the 4K walkers are "released" a minute or two thereafter. Racing to end homelessness in our community. Just as the legend says that St. Patrick chased the snakes out of Ireland, Chasing Snakes is chasing homelessness out of our community. Since 2009 the race has donated over $50,000. To Family Promise of Greater Johnson City (formerly IHN) directly serving homeless families and children in need - keeping them united, keeping them sheltered, keeping them positive, keeping them job-focused, with the ultimate goal of helping them be self-sufficient.
