And the belly says: HELP! I love it when we get little freebies here at the office! And since I work at a branding/design firm, usually our freebies consist of paper samples, or print samples, etc). It's like two jackpots! So, I've already embezzled some paper-co. postcards to help add flair to my little corner. And check out these Halloween cookies we got from one of our Printers! But look at that icing job? Wow detail: warts, creepy black nails, spiders, webs,.uh? Just felt the need to clarify). And fo...

If my last post was about babies.obviously the logical thing to write about next would be grandmas. In my case: this would be a nana. My nana belongs to the part of society that is still a bit skeptical about all this new crazy technology happening everywhere.unfortunately, we have no mercy, and we force it upon her. A few weeks ago, my parents flew out to see her, bought her a computer, and set her up an email account. This is an excerpt from the gem of a letter I got from her a few days ago:. Or at lea...

A little visual treat. This is how Karen and I fished when we lived in Indonesia. Step #1. snorkle-mask. (best to be worn outside of the water too. Obviously.). Step #2. obtain smaller trashcan for scooping fish. Step #3. obtain giant trashcan to hold caught fish. Steph #4. dive into lake and scoop up fish. Surprisingly, our methods were eerily successful? Posted by Leslye Smith. Sometimes life just gets a little crazy. And right now I think life has just dealt me the "lot-of-crazy" hand.).

It is exactly for reasons like this. That I feel legitimized for my fear of sleeping in houses alone. I don't care if you're cold. STAY OUT OF MY BED! Unless you look like this little muffin. But still. only. Posted by Leslye Smith. Do you know what I was doing exactly one week ago? I was eating OYSTERS! SERIOUSLY.why do people eat those things? Do I look petrified? And please notice very (non-supportive/smirking) boyfriend in the foreground. Come on.if you ate this, you'd be making that face too!

May 1, 2013. DIY Bridal Party Shirts. What you will need:. Cardboard covered in wax paper. This is a super easy DIY project for a wedding. I stole the idea from Something Turquoise. So check out their website for details. All you do is using the bleach pen, write "Bride", "Maid", "MOH" or what ever you want onto the t-shirt. The cardboard should be inside to protect bleach bleeding through. Wait 10-15 minutes (depending on the fabric) and rinse off the remaining bleach under a high water pressure faucet.

March 7, 2015. Legacy - Selma Alabama. Charles F. Vatterott pictured left, in line about to board a plane to Selma, AL. I've been thinking about legacy's this morning. The kind that you are born into and the kind that you leave behind. 50 years ago my grandfather made it possible for an airplane full of nuns and priests to be apart of standing against inequality and marching for civil rights in Selma, Alabama. He was a family man who believed in putting God and his family first. I've always been impresse...

July 9, 2013. What Life Is Really Like. We watched the sunset over the glistening lake, sitting on a bench perfectly tucked underneath a billowing tree and listened to the birds chirp and geese splash around in the water. The evening was so romantic and I was sitting next to.my friend Erin. She and I laughed at how ironic it seemed for two 23 year old girls to be sharing such a romantic. I'm glad we could laugh about it, because post grad life hasn't been an easy transition for any of us. Being excited a...

My favorite thing about america…]. 8230;is indubitably not. Let’s start with the fact that it’s desolate. Secondly, the cops in that state are nuts. Absolutely nuts. Now let’s just stop and harp on the toll booths for a moment. (I am taking this sidenote to acknowledge that I have to take a significant amount of responsibility in these instances. it’s just way more fun to be a hater. In jest, of course.). How is your drive? Because I so highly value sustenance, substance, nutrition, whatever… I ele...
