http://thepinkepost.com/2011/04/hunk-of-meat-monday-beef-barley-stew
Living the Prairie Life. Hunk of Meat Monday: Beef Barley Stew. April 11, 2011. I raided the pantry and freezer to pull this together. I cut 2 1/2 lbs of lean boneless sirloin this time. Usually I use just 2 lbs. and have also used lean hamburger. You can use several different cuts of beef. The longer your meat simmers the more tender it will be. Therefore tougher cuts of meat can be used if you are using a slow cooker. Cut into 1/2″ cubes. Add 1 cup sliced carrots and 1 cup chopped celery. I am partial ...

Purple Martin Vintage: Queen Tuft
http://www.purplemartinvintage.com/2013/07/queen-tuft.html
Wednesday, July 24, 2013. One thing I've been wanting for a long long time is a beautiful fabric covered headboard. Preferably with lots of beautiful plump tufts. Like this beauty. Sooooo for a long time now I've been drooling over headboards online, pinning them on a pinterest. There were no staples in the stapler and there was none to be found anywhere in the house. Drat! So I picked it all up and pouted and went to bed. But today is a new day! Oh my word, my heart is racing, I can't breathe! Is it rai...

Purple Martin Vintage: 'THE' HEADBOARD
http://www.purplemartinvintage.com/2013/07/the-headboard.html
Thursday, July 25, 2013. What's the obsession with headboards these days? As I mentioned in my previous post I decided to use the bed we already have, with a headboard and footboard and to make a covered insert to fit on the headboard. My hubby measured the opening and cut a board for me. You can click on any of the photos on the blog to enlarge them. I wanted to add to it so I covered 42 buttons in the same fabric and will place one on each tuft. The fabric - this more closely depicts the actual color.
