Our Country Bungalow: Bohemian Quilt
http://www.ourcountrybungalow.com/2015/06/bohemian-quilt.html
Last week my daughter was getting ready for a big move. She was due to leave Friday and the weekend before I decided I should make her a simple quilt in the bright bohemian colors that she loves. I had 5 days to do it. Did I make it? Why yes, I did. The key was to make it with big squares that would be fast to put together. I also thought big squares would let some of the bold fabric patterns show nicely. It was hard to get a clear picture because he kept moving the porch swing! You are very talented!

I made this quilt smaller; it's throw sized instead of bed sized because I wanted it for cozying up with in the living room by the fire. I used flannel for the back and it's been just right. Chicks in the...

I finished a quilt on Sunday and got it all loaded on the frame. Now on to the fun part. I'm very new at longarming, and it has been a challenge to relearn how to quilt by moving the machine instead of the quilt, but I really love it. It's like drawing with thread! Sunday, July 29, 2012. Have you repurposed lately? It has been a awhile since a repurposed post. This one is fun! If you have been here to see pics of our living room, you know there is a ladder in the corner. It can be seen here. And apparently I haven't blogged about it as much as I thought I have. :(. Jim's Mom gave me this wooden ladder (the other part to it is in her kitchen as her pot rack! This would have been our first fall in the house. A general purpose look. It is a fun piece to decorate!

Creating With The J's: April 2012
http://creating-with-the-js.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 25, 2012. How are you cock-a-doodle-doing? I made these cards awhile ago and keep forgetting to share them! They were a set of cards made for Jim's Mom to give to a friend of hers.
