The kids and I took a break from the corn and soybean fields this weekend to harvest something much more fun (and more delicious! Maybe one day she can teach me a thing or two…. Grandma’s Best Apple Crisp. 5 cups sliced, peeled cooking apples (I use the apples from our trees, but Honeycrisp or Granny Smith would also be good). 1/2 cup old fashioned oats. 1/2 cup packed brown sugar. 1/4 cup cold butter.
