The party was on Sunday but we began preparations on Friday. I drove her all around our little village to buy food and supplies at grocery stores and markets. The day proceeded with praise and scolding. "Good, good. No! Astoria CSA (Q...

One girls quest to learn how to farm sustainably. Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Bring a goat to work day. If riding a tractor is like riding a horse, I want nothing to do with either one of them. I had my first tractor experience on Friday and I was still feeling the effects of it on Saturday. My introduction was slightly more traumatic than it should have been. Thursday, September 23, 2010. I love our heritage turkeys, Bourbon Reds. They have been a source of entertainment for the three to four...
