Old Farmhouse Pottery

http://www.farmpots.com/pottery.htm

All of the pottery from the Old Farmhouse is handmade by David Hendley. Most of the pottery is made with the potters wheel and/or the clay extruder, and David formulates and mixes all the clays, slips, colors, and glazes. The pottery is fired to 2400º F in a wood fired kiln. All pieces are oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe and are quite durable. All of the pieces pictured here are sold, but similar ones are usually available for sale. The bucket has a removable brass bail with a clay handle. Extruded ...

Old Farmhouse Pottery

Old Farmhouse Pottery is located half a mile down a back road, close to the town of Maydelle, Texas. See our Contact. Page for directions to the shop. The view from the pottery farmhouse takes in a 5 acre pasture with scattered trees and a small pond, which is about 80 yards away. Beyond that is mixed pine and hardwood forest land. A rare snowfall in 2004. The pottery shop in spring ragweed season (left) and daffodil season (right). David uses his clay extruder to make handles and feet for pots, as well ...

Old Farmhouse Pottery - Sale

http://www.farmpots.com/sale.htm

All of the pottery pictured on this page came from the most recent firings of the wood-fired kiln at Old Farmhouse Pottery and is for sale. These are all "one-of-a-kind" pieces, so there is only one of each item available, and they will be marked "sold". If no longer available. If you would like to buy a piece pictured on this page, please either: 1). Send an e-mail to david (at) farmpots (dot) com. And I will confirm that the piece is available and hold it until I receive payment by check, or 2). Each s...

My Listening Heart: December 2010

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html

Sunday, December 19, 2010. Daily Journal - Special Christmas Edition. Yesterday was a simply wonderful day. It started off with a quick trip to pick up a couple of gift cards, but not any old gift cards! These gift cards are each worth a one hour massage from our favorite therapist, Renita! After getting the cards I picked up my 89 year old mama. Yep - I'm 60. She's 89. I still call her mama! I'm a southern girl. Yes, I am. Once they were through looking, no decisions nor offers were made but it sure wou...

My Listening Heart: For Today - Sunday - July 3, 2011

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2011/07/for-today-sunday-july-3-2011.html

Sunday, July 3, 2011. For Today - Sunday - July 3, 2011. It is hot and sunny. The new hydrangeas and double impatiens are doing well. They are in deep shade and are surviving the heat wave. Many folks don't understand the meaning of Independence Day. You can read the Declaration of Independence here http:/ www.archives.gov/exhibits/charters/declaration transcript.html. Powerful words. Even more powerful ideas! That my 90 year old mama spent the night with us last night. To take a Sunday afternoon nap.

My Listening Heart: August 2011

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 24, 2011. For Today - Wednesday - August 24, 2011. It is 79 degrees with straight-line winds, rain and cloud to ground lightning. I'll shouldn't have swept, vacuumed and mopped the floors today! I didn't get to finish vacuuming though; the belt broke and I don't have another one and WalMart doesn't have any either :(. That several years ago we bought a generator so we have electricity to operate some of the more necessary things! And oh so grateful. Are lots and lots of electrical cords!

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2011/11/for-today-wednesday-november-2-2011.html

Wednesday, November 2, 2011. For Today - Wednesday - November 2, 2011. It is dark; there are freshly planted white pansies; a baby calf is bawling, desperately missing his mama. That I need to get up and start making pear sauce. I'll use the method found. I Am Grateful. . . That I've run into my daughter twice in two days - all very. She always brightens my day. Is a 5 gallon bucket of pears given to us. . . that's why I need to get busy making pear sauce and maybe a pear pie. And gobs of other stuff.

My Listening Heart: September 2010

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 30, 2010. For Today - September 30, 2010 - Thursday. It's cool, but not as cool as it has been. Birds chirping, cars. For not having any neighbors we sure do hear lots of road noise, which is my least favorite thing about this cozy little cabin. And the chain link fence. Horrible things. I don't have neighbors. . .I don't need a chain link fence. I can't wait until the whole thing is removed. White capris and blue chambray shirt. And sock. For that good night's sleep. Creeps me out&#4...

My Listening Heart: July 2010

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 19, 2010. For Today - July 19, 2010 - Monday. It's partly sunny. Squirrels are playing in the trees and are running on the fences. And a snake is underneath house. Apparently one did not get the memo that don't want any snakes near the house. There was one 2' - 3' long sunning on a shelf near the kitchen steps. He was fairly skinny, and dark. He was lumpy so I'm guessing he had been snacking on skinks? Snakes never were very good at following rules, were they? Was buggered up over that!

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html

Wednesday, August 25, 2010. For Today - August 25, 2010 - Wednesday. It is sunny and thankfully not as hot as yesterday. The weatherman says he thinks the triple digit temps are a thing of the past! A blue chambray nightshirt. I'd rather be praying and editing photos. How my grandson is doing at college. For a hubby who loves me just as I am. Dishes in the dish drainer, waiting to be put away. I had a yummy breakfast of scrambled eggs, toast, jam and Earl Gray tea. Everything by Debra Rayber. The need fo...

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2011/07/for-today-saturday-july-9-2011.html

Saturday, July 9, 2011. For Today - Saturday - July 9, 2011. The sun is going down and a squirrel is visiting the "water hole", a hollow in the tree that holds water. Birds and squirrels have been visiting. . . . and God-made waterer/bird bath! I need to charge my camera batter and tidy up dining room and bedroom. That my hubby got to visit his dearest of guy friends, Aqeel. They don't get to visit with one another nearly often enough. . . A real appetite for peas! To tidy up and go to bed early. Posted ...

http://mylisteningheart.blogspot.com/2011/08/for-today-monday-august-22-2011.html

Monday, August 22, 2011. For Today - Monday - August 22, 2011. It is 79 degrees and sunny. Today's forecast is the same as its been for over 50 days: Over 100 degrees and no rain. Texas is in the worst heatwave and drought in over 100 years. That most people are hypocritical and judgmental. Sorry - that's just how it appears to me right now. That Tim, of Tim and Christiy. Have a metal roof and when that branch came down it made quite a lot of noise! The water distiller and the A/C humming. That some peop...

The result was some fine journalism, a comprehensive article that ran on the front page of the Sunday paper a week ago and found here. Monday, September 2, 2013. People Eating Tasty Animals.
