I didn’t drink in January 2009 and after four weeks was starting to feel a bit better in myself. I was still tired but it felt like the thin veil of gloom that is applied to daily life was starting to lift and I think at one point I felt genuinely, almost, slightly happy. My weight was down two kilos this week and back to my weight in week one of 86kg. Stats for week 3:. Weight: 86kg / 13 stone 8 pounds. Belly: 36.5″. Slow progress but progress none the less. My progress in the gym, what works, what doesn’t. Chest and Triceps Day. January 26, 2009 at 7:34 pm · Filed under diet. Back in the gym on Monday lunchtime and it was chest and triceps day. Last week I managed a 90kg bench press for the first time so I was hoping to do the same this week but somehow it didn’t happen. I walked three miles to work and had only eaten one tuna roll and a banana so maybe I was low on energy. Flat Bench Press: warm-up sets and then 3 reps @ 80kg, 3 sets of 2 reps @ 80kg.

Now that I am going to the gym to do weights in my lunch break I am going to tweak my routine slightly to fit everything in. Ever since I first started training properly I have done a push pull split apart from on a few occasions where I dabbled with a chest and back / delts and arms / legs type routine. Went into town today and had a McDonalds Quater Punder /w Cheese Meal. It was only a medium and I had a diet Coke but I’m guessing it was probably around 600 calories!
